[Verse 1]
Spoke up and thought I'd try
Try to step across the line
You know that I've been thinkin' 'bout it for a while, yeah
Startin' to think it's time I kneel
Does me good to know I finally feel
Feel this pain, it's real, it's possible, you say

[Chorus]
Can't change the winds, you say
Won't matter anyway
Can't reach that far 'cause it's impossible (It's impossible)
Can't rise above this place, won't change your mind, so I pray
Breakin' down the walls, do the impossible (Impossible)

[Verse 2]
Walkin' by myself I know
This lonely road's becomin' my new home
But I don't stop, I just keep movin' on, and on
Ain't no need to dry my eyes
I haven't cried in quite some time
Every day I fight it, you know it's possible, you say

[Chorus]
Can't change the winds, you say
Won't matter anyway
Can't reach that far 'cause it's impossible (It's impossible)
Can't rise above this place, won't change your mind, so I pray
Breakin' down the walls, do the impossible (Impossible)

[Bridge 1]
Can someone tell me why it's so hard takin' chances?
You draw the line and think that I won't ask for more, yeah
I will stumble and I'll make my own mistakes, yeah
But I won't worry 'bout it anymore, it's impossible

[Chorus]
Can't change the winds, you say
Won't matter anyway
Can't reach that far 'cause it's impossible (It's impossible)
Can't rise above this place, won't change your mind, so I pray
Breakin' down the walls, do the impossible (Impossible)

[Bridge 2]
It's impossible to you, not impossible for me
Not impossible for me

[Chorus]
Can't rise above this place, won't change your mind, so I pray
(It's impossible to you, not impossible for me)
Breaking down the walls, do the impossible
(Not impossible for me)

[Outro]
Spoke up and though I'd try
Try to step across the line

Kelly Brianne Clarkson (born April 24, 1982) is an American singer, songwriter, and occasional actress. In 2002, she came to prominence after winning the first season of American Idol, and has since been established as “The Original American Idol”. Her debut single, “A Moment Like This”, topped the US Billboard Hot 100 and broke the record for the biggest jump to number one in the chart’s history.

Her first album, Thankful included the top ten single “Miss Independent”, which earned her first Grammy nomination. Her second album Breakaway produced the hit single “Since U Been Gone” which reached number two on the Hot 100 and was certified platinum by the RIAA.

Clarkson went in a different direction with her self-creatively-controlled third album, My December. It debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 and produced the top-ten single “Never Again.” Her fourth album, All I Ever Wanted debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Lead single “My Life Would Suck Without You” re-broke the record for biggest jump to number one on the Hot 100, jumping 97-1 in its second week on the chart. The record still stands today.
