[Intro]
Let's go
Whoa, oh, oh
Ooh, yeah

[Verse 1]
What happened to the man who used to take me
Straight into misery?
I want you back and now I must admit it shames me
How could this be?

[Pre-Chorus]
Tell me, what's this desperation?
'Cause I don't recognize these chains
I think I made a bad mistake

[Chorus]
'Cause once I ran away
I loved you since the day
The day I broke your heart (Heart, heart, heart, heart)
It's more than I can take
I loved you since the day
The day we fell apart (-Part, part, part, part)
Now everything is coming undone
'Cause you were the chance I can't afford to waste
I loved you since the day
The day we fell apart
Whoa, oh, oh

[Verse 2]
I must admit the grass is so much greener
On the other side
Since you left, I noticed now you're so much meaner
And it's something I think I like

[Pre-Chorus]
Tell me, what's this desperation?
'Cause I don't recognize these chains
I think I made a bad mistake

[Chorus]
('Cause once I ran away) 'Cause once I ran away
I loved you since the day
The day I broke your heart (Heart, heart, heart, heart)
It's more than I can take
I loved you since the day
The day we fell apart (-Part, part, part, part)
Now everything is coming undone
'Cause you were the chance I can't afford to waste
I loved you since the day
The day we fell apart

[Bridge]
I made a bad mistake
Used to pray for space
Drowning you one more time
Amend my wicked ways

[Chorus]
'Cause once I ran away
I loved you since the day
The day I broke your heart (Heart, heart, heart, heart)
It's more than I can take
I loved you since the day
The day we fell apart (-Part, part, part, part)
Now everything is coming undone
'Cause you were the chance I can't afford to waste
I loved you since the day
The day we fell apart
The day we fell apart

[Outro]
Whoa, oh, oh
Whoa, oh, oh
Whoa, yeah

Kelly Brianne Clarkson (born April 24, 1982) is an American singer, songwriter, and occasional actress. In 2002, she came to prominence after winning the first season of American Idol, and has since been established as “The Original American Idol”. Her debut single, “A Moment Like This”, topped the US Billboard Hot 100 and broke the record for the biggest jump to number one in the chart’s history.

Her first album, Thankful included the top ten single “Miss Independent”, which earned her first Grammy nomination. Her second album Breakaway produced the hit single “Since U Been Gone” which reached number two on the Hot 100 and was certified platinum by the RIAA.

Clarkson went in a different direction with her self-creatively-controlled third album, My December. It debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 and produced the top-ten single “Never Again.” Her fourth album, All I Ever Wanted debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Lead single “My Life Would Suck Without You” re-broke the record for biggest jump to number one on the Hot 100, jumping 97-1 in its second week on the chart. The record still stands today.
