[Chorus]
I'm taking the high road, high as hell
To the bastards, I wish you well
Got me laughing, I ain't losing no sleep
I'm taking the high road, so high up
You can try though, but you can't touch
But I'm laughing, I ain't losing no sleep

[Post-Chorus]
I'm taking the
High road
High road
High road
High road

[Verse 1]
B-I-T-C, hey, I'm that **** you love to hate
S-T-R-8, talk that shh straight to my bank
So aggressive, passive aggressive
Delete the message, and pass me a beverage, hey
Oh, good God, what the hell have I done?
All in the name of good, clean fun
Y'all think I'm crazy, think I'm dumb
Could a dumb dumb write a number one? Woo!
More than one, woo!
More than two, yah!
More than you, woo!

[Chorus]
I'm taking the high road, high as hell
To the bastards, I wish you well
Got me laughing, I ain't losing no sleep
I'm taking the high road, so high up
You can try though, but you can't touch
But I'm laughing, I ain't losing no sleep

[Post-Chorus]
I'm taking the
High road
High road
High road
High road

[Verse 2]
K-E-S-H-A, I can S-P-ell my name
Oy vey, okay, hope y'all have a blessed day
So pretentious, I'm so damn pretentious
Delete the message, and pass me that beverage (Hey)
Oh, good God, somethin' for the low blow
A girl like me try to take the high road
Been meditating, transcendental
Why y'all think I'm goin' mental?
Oh, I'm havin' fun, woo!
I'm havin' fun, woo! (She's havin' fun)
What rhymes with fun? Ooh!
Now play that drum!

[Chorus]
I'm taking the high road, high as hell
To the bastards, I wish you well
Got me laughing, I ain't losing no sleep
I'm taking the high road, so high up
You can try though, but you can't touch
But I'm laughing, I ain't losing no sleep

[Post-Chorus]
I'm taking the
High road
High road
High road
High road
High road (I'm taking the)
High road

[Outro]
Now put your hands up
Now put your hands down
Now put your hands up-up-up-up
Now put your hands down
Now put your hands up
Now put your hands down
Now put your hands up-up-up-up
Now put your hands down

Kesha

Kesha Rose Sebert, whose mononymous stage name was previously spelled Ke$ha, is an American singer-songwriter best known for hits like “Tik Tok” and “Praying.” Her mother, Pebe Sebert is also a songwriter, and the two have worked together on songs like “Learn to Let Go.”

In 2005, at age eighteen, Kesha signed a record deal with Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe Records. Her first major recording was an uncredited feature on Flo Rida’s 2009 hit “Right ‘Round,” which she recorded after walking into a session between Flo and Dr. Luke. She released her debut album, Animal, the next year, after choosing from hundreds of songs, and the record debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Lead single “Tik Tok” broke the record for the longest time for a female artist’s debut single to top the Billboard Hot 100.

Nine months after Animal dropped, Kesha rereleased it alongside Cannibal, an extended play featuring hits like “We R Who We R,” which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and “Blow.” In February 2011, Kesha kicked off her Get Sleazy Tour, which travelled through the Americas, Europe, and Australia. During the tour, she began writing for her sophomore album, Warrior, which was released in November 2012. She then embarked on a world tour, and was joined by future “Timber” collaborator Pitbull on the North American leg.
