[Verse 1]
Yeah, I'd rather be a lover than a fighter (fighter)
'Cause all my life, I've been fighting
Never felt a feeling of comfort
All this time, I've been hiding
And I never had someone to call my own, oh nah
I'm so used to sharing
Love only left me alone
But I'm at one with the silence

[Chorus]
I found peace in your violence
Can't tell me there's no point in trying
I found peace in your violence
Can't tell me there's no point in trying
I found peace in your violence
Can't tell me there's no point in trying
I found peace in your violence
And I've been silent for too long

[Verse 2]
I'm in need of a savior, but I'm not asking for favors
My whole life, I've felt like a burden
I think too much, and I hate it
I'm so used to being in the wrong, I'm tired of caring
Loving never gave me a home, so I'll sit here in the silence

[Chorus]
I found peace in your violence
Can't tell me there's no point in trying
I found peace in your violence
Can't tell me there's no point in trying
I found peace in your violence
Can't tell me there's no point in trying
I found peace in your violence
And I've been silent for too long

Marshmello

With a name to match the object that hides his face, the immensely popular DJ known as Marshmello (who began his career in 2015) has risen to fame faster than many artists. He operates under his own label, Joytime Collective, and has signed one other artist to the label so Slushii.

Marshmello released his debut album, Joytime, on January 8, 2016, and has not looked back since. After his song “Alone” went viral in 2016, Marshmello has been dominating the EDM scene and has even entered the pop world with songs such as “Silence,” “FRIENDS” and “Happier.”
