[Intro]
Nobody cares a thing about me
Nobody cares a thing about me

[Verse 1]
I used to run around fancy-free (Nobody cares)
Nobody could get a hold on me (Nobody cares)
Breaking hearts was my specialty (Nobody cares)
Now my game is misery (Nobody cares)

[Pre-Chorus]
'Cause you see, too late I learned
That playing with fire will get you burned
I found out that the human heart
Wasn't meant to be torn apart

[Chorus]
And now, nobody (Nobody cares a thing about me)
At all (Nobody cares a thing about me)

[Verse 2]
Boys have turned their back on me (Nobody cares)
They ain't got no pity or sympathy (Nobody cares)
'Cause it's true, nobody loves a lying, cheating, sneaking girl (Nobody cares)
And loneliness is all I have left in this world (Nobody cares)

[Pre-Chorus]
'Cause you see, too late I learned
That playing with fire will get you burned
Ain't it true what the people say
That you reap what you sow one day

[Chorus]
Now, nobody (Nobody cares a thing about me)
Not at all (Nobody cares)

[Bridge]
Yeah, try get my heart
My heart stays heavy as lead
If I don't get some lovin' soon
My poor heart will be dead

[Chorus]
That's why, nobody (Nobody cares a thing about me)
Not for me (Nobody cares)

Nobody (Nobody cares a thing about me)
Not at all (Nobody cares)

Nah, nah, nah (Nobody cares a thing about me)
Nah, nah, nah (Nobody cares)
Cares

Martha Reeves & The Vandellas

Martha Rose Reeves (July 18, 1941 -) was born in Eufaula, AL and is a retired American R&B and pop singer, and the lead singer in the Motown group, Martha and the Vandellas. That group recorded over a dozen hit singles in the 1960s.

Reeves learned to sing in her grandfather’s church and got her big break when she and her backups were chosen to sing backup on a 1963 Marvin Gaye record. They were almost immediately signed to a record deal, renamed “Martha and the Vandellas” and set to work recording hits. The group fell apart because of drug abuse and did their final performance in Detroit in 1972. One of their songs, “Nowhere to Run” got a second life in the 1987 Robin Williams movie, Good Morning Vietnam.

The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995.
