[Intro]
Yeah yeah yeah
Hey, oh
Uh-huh, yeah yeah

[Verse 1]
Steppin' out tonight with my people
Everybody's fly
Watch me now, my dress, it gets attention
Whenever I walk by

[Pre-Chorus]
They say, "Ooh, she walks around like she's someone important
Like she owns the world"
Catchin' eyes of jealous and you haters
But respect from all my girls
I don't know what it is
But it's got me flyin' and I like it
I don't know what it is
But I'm alright and the best way to describe it

[Chorus]
I feel good like the moon is shinin' just for me
Tonight I'm fly as I can be
Don't you try to bring me down, though
It's not like you could
I feel too damn good
Say, ooh, ooh
I feel too damn good
Say, ooh, ooh

[Verse 2]
Tippin' in my heels with such swagger
Fellas, how are you? Mmm
Debonaire, sexy with so much charm
Yeah, I'm talkin' to you
So let's go, let me make you smile with my charisma
Lead you to the floor
Let's dance like we know everybody's watchin' (Hey)
'Cause that's what we're here for

[Chorus]
I feel good like the moon is shinin' just for me
Tonight I'm fly as I can be
Don't you try to bring me down, though
It's not like you could
I feel too damn good
Say, ooh, ooh
I feel too damn good
Say, ooh, ooh

[Bridge]
Back off of me, that negativity
Don't wanna hear what you say
I'm gonna dance away my drama
So you best get out my way, hey hey

[Chorus]
I feel good like the moon is shinin' just for me
(The moon is shining just for me)
Tonight I'm fly as I can be
(Tonight I'm fly as I can be)
Don't you try to bring me down, though
It's not like you could
(It's not like you could, feels good)
I feel good like the moon is shinin' just for me
(The moon is shining just for me)
Tonight I'm fly as I can be
(Tonight I'm fly as I can be)
Don't you try to bring me down, though
It's not like you could
(Not like you could)
I feel too damn good
Say, ooh, ooh
I feel too damn good
Say, ooh, ooh
Ooh...

Mary J. Blige

Mary Jane Blige (b. Jan 11 1971) grew up in the projects of Yonkers, New York. A random decision to record a cover of “Caught Up in the Rapture” by Anita Baker in a pop-up recording booth at a mall led MJB to getting signed by Uptown Entertainment. After providing background vocals on Father MC’s hit single “I’ll Do 4 U” in 1990, a young intern at Uptown named Sean “Puffy” Combs ended up executive producing Mary’s 1992 debut album What’s The 411?. Fusing hip-hop beats with Mary’s soulful voice earned her the nickname “Queen of Hip-Hop Soul”.

She followed up her debut with a string of critically acclaimed albums, including 1994’s My Life and 1997’s Share My World, as well as hit singles such as “Not Gon' Cry,” “Family Affair,” “Be Without You,” and “Just Fine.”

She also collaborated with rappers on a number of tracks, including Jay-Z’s “Can’t Knock the Hustle,” Ghostface Killah’s “All That I Got is You,” Wyclef’s “911,” Common’s “Come Close,” and Method Man’s “I’ll Be There for You/All I Need to Get By,” which was a platinum hit and won the two of them a Grammy Award in 1996 for Best Rap Performance By a Duo or Group.
