[Part 2]

[Intro]
I got a little song

[Verse 1]
There's problems in the West, there's problems in the East, but
Will they ever stop fighting?
They'll say we are the best, high above the rest, but
Who gets [?]? Yeah
Don't wanna ask who is the mask
But can't let these issues just pass me
Don't want to cast doubt on the past but
These stories got me all laughing, 'cause
These modern times with all different kinds
Feel like "Are you ISIS, or Pisces?" Yeah
Men in the trucks say they give a fuck
But end of the day it's about prices

[Part 3]

[Intro]

Split in the middle, [?], peng girl—pose
Split in the middle, [?], peng girl—pose
Split in the middle, [?], peng girl—pose

[Hook]
Shot, shot, shot, shot
Drop, drop, drop, drop
Knock, knock, knock, knock
Fly pirates, we can't stop
Shot, shot, shot, shot (Load 'em)
Drop, drop, drop, drop (Lord have mercy)
Knock, knock, knock, knock
Fly pirates, we can't stop

[Verse 1]
Knock, knock, here's that bomb
Champion girl, I'll show you where I'm from
Knock, knock, we stay strong
Show me something I can't stunt on
A-le-le-le-le-le up in here
Step it up, blow up in here
When you get high with no Visa
Everybody know it's M.I.A.
A-le-le-le-le-le up in here
Step it up, blow up in here
When you get high with no Visa
Everybody know is, we don't care

[Hook]
Shot, shot, shot, shot (Load 'em)
Drop, drop, drop, drop (Lord have mercy)
Knock, knock, knock, knock (Fuck 'em)
Fly pirates we can't stop
Shot, shot, shot, shot (Yeah, load 'em)
Drop, drop, drop, drop (Lord have mercy)
Knock, knock, knock, knock (Load it)
Fly pirates we can't stop

[Outro]
Everybody in the place lit
Throw your lighters in the air
Everybody in the place lit
Throw your lighters in the air
A-le-le-le-le-le up in here
Throw your lighters in the air
A-le-le-le-le-le up in here
Throw your lighters in the air
Can we blow up in here?

M.I.A.

One of the most musically-diverse and perplexing artists of the 2000s, Mathangi “Maya” Arulpragasam is arguably the decade’s best representation of Hip-Hop in its truest form and artistry in its broadest, most diverse format. Her lyrics are as political as Public Enemy, her sound is more eclectic than Stankonia-era Outkast, and she is as aesthetically-driven as Kanye West.

The road that M.I.A. was forced to travel to international stardom was not an easy one. Born on July 18th, 1975 in Hounslow, West London to Sri-Lankan Tamil immigrants, she moved to her parents' homeland when she was only six months old. However, it was the Sri Lankan Civil War which came to shape her childhood. During her formative years, she witnessed many her father was hunted as an enemy of the state, her schools were bombarded, and her impoverished family was constantly in hiding. In 1986, her family moved back to London to find stability and a sense of relative peace.

In England, she discovered her artistic talents and completed several years of secondary education in fine art – eventually gaining attention as a visual artist, painter, and musician. In the early-2000s, Maya began to seriously explore her musical talents and used the internet and underground radio as the means to build her reputation as a unique and talented firebrand. Amidst her no-nonsense politics, however, critics from around the world heard a talent in the making.
