[Hook]
I, pledge alle-giance
To all my hom-ies who may ne-ver
Lo-ove a ho and ne-ver will..
I, give my bo-dyyy
And I give my so-ulll to the funk
May the funk, never end

[Verse 1: Nate Dogg]
I pledge allegiance, to paper chasers
To hustlers who be steady pulling capers
Peace and blessing, may the sun always shine on you
I'm serving paper, see ya later
I guess that's one mo' thing, I can't be faded
You can test me, get discombobulated
Ain't no question I'm gon' fuck with this
I do it for the funk of it

[Hook]

[Verse 2: Nate Dogg]
I pledge allegiance to my - homies who keep it gangsta
Fuck all the haters they can't stop this groove
I pledge allegiance to the - game cause it got me balling
Game don't wait so I'm not stalling
I'm still dissing, she's still calling

[Verse 3: Pharoahe Monch]
Uhh, what, what, yeah
Uhh, check it out now, uh
See this is front line, no turning back now
I'm about to score, this is war on the track now (woo!)
Give me my vest and my ammo and my mac now
I'm 'bout to spit it, and Lord I'mma get it
In the worst WAYYY, slay - competition
Move the opposition, back wake the fuck up! (uh-huh)
Cause when I get beyond enemy lines
I might snipe that ass like John Kennedy's mind
Thou shall not get caught, that's the remedy
Disinfect gun wounds on my last bottle of Hennessy
Bleed to let the seeds remember my memories
It's killed or be killed here son that's the penalty
RIDE for the funk, CRY for the funk
In the heat of the night, I DIE for the funk
Pharoahe, when I'm six feet deep there's no greiving
Salute the noblest troop and pledge allegiance cause

Nate Dogg

In 1990, Nate Dogg, Snoop Dogg, and their friend Warren G, formed a rap trio called 213. 213 recorded their first demo in the back of the famed V.I.P. record store in Long Beach, the demo was later heard by Dr. Dre at a house party and he was instantly hooked on the soulful voice of Nate.

Nate Dogg made his debut on The Chronic. Singing in what later become his trademark style, he was well received by fans and critics alike, and would go on to sign with Death Row Records in 1993. Nate Dogg was also featured on Mista Grimm’s “Indosmoke” with Warren G. Then in 1994 he produced his first hit single “Regulate” with Warren G. Nate Dogg was also featured in many releases of the late 2Pac. Then in 1998 after a tumultuous time at Death Row Records he released his first two albums. The double album was titled G-Funk Classics Vol. 1 & 2 and was followed up in late 2001 with Music & Me. After a number of delays and an original release date of April 2004, his self-titled album was released in 2008.

Nate Dogg passed away on March 15, 2011, due to complications from strokes.
