It's Bad Boy, baby
N.E., 2004
Bad Boy now

[Verse 1: Ronnie DeVoe, New Edition, P. Diddy]
The name's DeVoe, A.K.A. Blake, oh
Make young ladies' rump shake
I bake Donald Trump cake
Real estate investin'
Rest in the sands in Destin'
Yes, and mami's (Cubano)
Half (Mexicano)
Young fly (Mulatto)
Move so (Melodic)
Up and down like she got (Hydraulics)
Side to side, her body's (Hypnotic)
No, you can't be the one and only
I only want you to have fun with the homies
Homies, we take them up out the arena
Back and forth like Venus and Serena
Seen her? (Have you seen her?)
Ya know my M.O
R dot DeVoe, everything's a go, oh
Wait, before I lose that number
Somebody in the crew might want to talk to her
(Ayo, ayo Rick, talk to 'em)

[Verse 2: Ricky Bell & P. Diddy]
I see you starin' in my face (Yeah)
You look real sexual (Like that)
I like the way you move (Uh)
Girl, you're makin' me want you (Come on)
If you like, we can change the scene
And go somewhere with me (Yeah)
Ya body's callin' me (Come on)
You already know what I wanna do

[Verse 3: Michael Bivins & P. Diddy]
Sporty rich, forty chicks in the mix
How freaky can shorty get?
Domino effect, one by one
They all go down, I'll be done by the sun
Up, I got stamina
If I can't then my man can handle her
We don't hide' em, we just divide 'em
You need? We got 'em
Here we'll provide 'em
I don't love her, never handcuff her
Only if she like that, then I get rougher
'Cause I can do it anyway you like
Only catch is you can't stay the night
Wake up, fix your hair and your makeup
Made a good couple but now we gotta break-up
B-I-V-I-N rep N.E
Bad Boy now (Bad Boy), this sound is BBD (Yeah, let's go)

[Verse 4: Ralph Tresvant]
The party's in my place (Uh huh)
Chicks all in the pool (That's right)
Ecstasy in the air
As I exit out with you
Tearin' off my shirt
Unbucklin' my belt
Tossin' bottles up
Now I got you fallin' in love

[Verse 5: Ronnie DeVoe, Michael Bivins, P. Diddy]
Alcohol
Half naked women is the life that I'm livin', my
Head's spinnin', the clock strikes five
(Yo how many girls can you fit in that ride?)
I don't know, the outfits will help me decide
(Why?)
Less is more, and the more the merrier
Hurry up, the next stop, the Marriott
Tear her belly out while smearin' her mascara up
Poof, then its back on the bus
She never knew we checked out 'til they're wakin' her up
Don't blame me, better blame the one raisin' her up
"Look, that's not my daughter on that camcorder" (Uh uh)
I'm not her daddy, even though she call me that
You know me, I don't call 'em back
I'll catch you at the next party we be at
(Ayo Blake, I don't think you want no parts of that)

[Bridge: New Edition]
You can call me up if you want love
Whatever you wanna do (What you wanna do?)
Get some friends, jump in the Benz
Tonight it's all on you (Where you wanna go?)
Girl, your body's, got me goin, crazy, outta control
(Outta control)
Gotta see you outta them clothes
Tonight it's all on you
You can call me up if you want love
Whatever you wanna do (What you wanna do?)
Get some friends, jump in the Benz
Tonight it's all on you (Where you wanna go?)
Girl, your body's, got me goin, crazy, outta control
(Outta control)
Gotta see you outta them clothes
Tonight it's all on you

[Outro: P. Diddy]
N.E., living legends
Bad Boy now
Y'all done started somethin'

New Edition

New Edition is a Boston-based R&B group that was seen as the inspiration of the boy bands that followed them during the 1980s and 1990s. The group initially consisted of Ralph Tresvant, Bobby Brown, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, and Ronnie DeVoe. They released their debut album Candy Girl in 1983 after being discovered by producer Maurice Starr. This album yielded the hits “Candy Girl,” “Popcorn Love,” and “Is This the End.” After a financial dispute, New Edition cut ties with Starr and released their second album New Edition in 1984, which features two of their biggest “Cool It Now” and “Mr. Telephone Man.” In November 1985, they released All for Love featuring the hits “Count Me Out” and “A Little Bit of Love (Is All It Takes)” and one month later released Christmas All Over the World.

Before the end of 1985, the group decided to vote Bobby Brown out of the group for his disruptive behavior. After their 1986 doo-wop cover album Under the Blue Moon, lead singer Ralph Tresvant was considering a solo career as the group’s direction was in question. In 1987, Johnny Gill was added to the group and the quintet went on to create their most popular album Heart Break with producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis in 1988. This album was released on June 20, 1988—the same day as Bobby Brown’s Don’t Be Cruel—and features two more of their biggest “If It Isn’t Love” and “Can You Stand the Rain.”

In 1990, Ralph Tresvant, Johnny Gill and Bell Biv Devoe all went on to have successful hits. Among these hits was the remix to BBD’s “Word to the Mutha,” which was the first song to feature all six members. After a hiatus, all six members came together in 1996 to create the album Home Again, which hit #1 on the Billboard 200 and was a multi-platinum success. After some friction on the Home Again tour, Bobby Brown decided to depart the group again. In 2004, after leaving their longtime label MCA Records, New Edition signed with Bad Boy Records and released the album One Love but they left Bad Boy a year later due to a lack of promotion. The group continues to tour together and sell out shows after 30 years in the business. The group was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on January 23, 2017—one day ahead of the BET premiere of their 3-night mini-series The New Edition Story.
