(Verse)
I was born a baby boy, a long time ago
Back when the hillsides were green and the water would flow
The nights, they fall and settle like snow
I watched as the hillside turned white, nowhere to go

(Chorus)
Oh, think I'm gonna start a fire
And oh, think I'm gonna start a fire

(Verse)
Well my heart is a frozen lake where streams used to flow
Down in a forest of my mind, where memory would grow
I walk amongst the trees, where the last son goes
And the leaves are golden and turning brown, with nowhere to go

(Chorus)
Oh, think I'm gonna start a fire
And oh, think I'm gonna start a fire

(Verse)
My skin like these boulders is cracking older
With each passing year that goes
My cliff face is crumbling smiling with each humbling
Down to the water below
And it fire lights and match out?
The last time before it goes

(Chorus)
Oh, think I'm gonna start a fire
And oh, think I'm gonna start a fire
Oh, think I'm gonna start a fire
And oh, think I'm gonna start a fire
