[Verse 1]
I was out wit my sisters, night on the town
Saw a picture, made me turn around
Couldn't tell if you were with her, cause that ain't allowed
You on two strikes, don't let me down
Said you want a girl, make her fall in love
But you didn't know what to do when you got her
You too busy tryna be the main attraction
When you gone be repsonsible for your actions, oh I

[Pre-Chorus]
I wonder if you knew that I would do it all for you
Or if you have a clue how [?]
Cause when you act this way, you make it hard for me to wanna sta-yay-yay, stay-yay-yay

[Chorus]
Why you so damn selfish?
And you playin like you can't help it
While you spend ya time gettin your act together, you want me to wa-a-ait, wa-a-ait
[Repeat]

[Verse 2]
I remember when we first met, you seemed so innocent
Never had a problem, you were the perfect gentleman
Or tell me were my eyes closed from the beginning?
Were you doing your dirt with other women?
Its hard for me to tell, I'm too far in
If what they say is true I don't know what I'm missin
I'm just prone wit my woman's intuition
Why do you put yourself in them crazy positions? Oh I

[Repeat Pre-Chorus and Chorus]

[Bridge]
I ain't tryna make you change ya mind
You gotta play it right
But if you can't I understand just don't leave me hangin on to the same lie
Can you really be a better man? Oh oh oh
Cause all I been doin is holdin you
It seems like you don't really even care about me
That's so unfair to me

[Repeat Chorus 2x]

Ya selfish, yes you are
Ohh why you can't help it why selfish
Why ya so damn selfish?
Why you want me to wa-a-ait, wa-a-ait?

RichGirl

RichGirl was an American R&B vocal girl group consisting of members Audra Simmons, Christina “Brave” Williams, Kristal Lyndriette Smith (now a member of June’s Diary) and Amber “Se7en” Streeter (now known as Sevyn Streeter). The group’s name refers to “a certain attitude and confidence, combined with individuality and talent that any girl might possess, rather than material items”. The group was formed by producer Rich Harrison, and managed by Tina Davis.

Although the group never released a full debut LP, work on a self-titled debut album had begun in 2009 with a planned release in 2012. The album saw the release of a promotional-single titled “24” featuring Bun B. and two official singles, “He Ain’t wit Me Now (Tho)” and “Swagger Right”. Sevyn described the album as “motivational, empowering, fun and honest”. The girls wrote several songs on the album and did their own vocal arrangements, although Lyndriette said they “didn’t get an opportunity to write as much as we all liked only because it was a little rushed, and the label was pushing us to get it done”. In addition to executive producer Rich Harrison, the group also had sessions with Bryan-Michael Cox, The Underdogs, Dre & Vidal, KP and Malay, StarGate, Ester Dean, Chris Brown and Ne-Yo.

As they continued work on their debut album, the group were an opening act for Beyoncé on her I Am … Tour. They performed a 15-minute set, which included their single, “He Ain’t wit Me Now (Tho)”, snippets from their debut album and a cover of “Over the Rainbow”.
