[Verse 1]
I'm not the type to get my heart broken
I'm not the type to get upset and cry
'Cause I never leave my heart open
Never hurts me to say goodbye
Relationships don't get deep to me
Never got that whole "in love" thing
And someone can say they love me truly
But at the time, it didn't mean a thing

[Pre-Chorus]
My mind is gone, I'm spinning 'round
And deep inside, my tears, I'll drown
I'm losing grip, what's happening?
I stray from love, this is how I feel

[Chorus]
This time was different
Felt like I was just a victim
And it cut me like a knife
When you walked out of my life
Now I'm in this condition
And I've got all the symptoms
Of a girl with a broken heart
But no matter what, you'll never see me cry

[Verse 2]
Did it happen when we first kissed?
'Cause it's hurting me to let it go
Maybe 'cause we spent so much time
And I know that it's no more
I should've never let you hold me, baby
Maybe why I'm sad to see us apart
I didn't give to you on purpose
Can't figure out how you stole my heart

[Pre-Chorus]
My mind is gone, I'm spinning 'round
And deep inside, my tears, I'll drown
I'm losing grip, what's happening?
I stray from love, this is how I feel

[Chorus]
This time was different
Felt like I was just a victim
And it cut me like a knife
When you walked out of my life
Now I'm in this condition
And I've got all the symptoms
Of a girl with a broken heart
But no matter what, you'll never see me cry

[Bridge]
How did I get here with you?
I'll never know
I never meant to let it get so personal
And after all I tried to do, to stay away from loving you
I'm broken hearted, I can't let you know
And I won't let it show
You won't see me cry (cry, cry, cry)

[Break]
Cry, cry, cry
Cry, cry, cry
Cry, cry, cry
Cry, cry, cry

[Chorus]
This time was different
Felt like I was just a victim
And it cut me like a knife
When you walked out of my life
Now I'm in this condition
And I've got all the symptoms
Of a girl with a broken heart
But no matter what, you'll never see me cry
This time was different
Felt like I was just a victim
And it cut me like a knife
When you walked out of my life (you'll never see me cry)
Now I'm in this condition
And I've got all the symptoms
Of a girl with a broken heart
But no matter what, you'll never see me cry
All my life
Cry, all my life
Cry, all my life
Cry, all my life
Cry, all my life

[Outro]

Type to get my—the type to get my
Type to get upset—cry—cry
Type to get my—the type to get my
Type to get upset—get
Type to get my—the type to get my
Type to get upset—cry—cry
Type to get my—the type to get my
Type to get upset—get
Type to get my—the type to get my
Type to get upset—cry—cry

Type to get upset—get
Type to get my—the type to get my
Type to get upset—cry—cry
Type to get my—the type to get my
Type to get upset—get
Type to get my—the type to get my
Type to get upset—cry—cry

Type to get my—the type to get my
Type to get upset—cry—cry

Rihanna

A true pop icon, Robyn “Rihanna” Fenty is a singer, actress, and businesswoman from Saint Michael, Barbados. She was first discovered by American record producer Evan Rogers in 2003 and later signed a contract to Def Jam Recordings in 2004, after auditioning for its then-president, JAY-Z.

The following year, in 2005, she released her debut album Music of the Sun and its follow-up, A Girl Like Me, in 2006. Both albums did well commercially, but it wasn’t until the release of her third album, Good Girl Gone Bad, in 2007 that poised Rihanna as an international pop star. It became her first album to receive a Grammy nomination (seven to be exact) and features one of her biggest hits, “Umbrella.”

Moving onto 2009, Rihanna released her fourth studio album, Rated R. It featured a darker and more atmospheric tone from her previous albums. She released her fifth studio album, Loud, the next year in 2010. It marked her return to making dance-pop records. That summer, she featured on Eminem’s smash hit, “Love the Way You Lie” and is one of her most popular features of all time.
