[Chorus]
Riding 'round Atlanta, windows down, yeah, I'm cruisin'
Family fell apart 'cause of money, it got ruined
Now I'm lightin' up, more than ever, gettin' zooted
I can't help this feeling, take me back to the old days
Riding 'round Atlanta, windows down, yeah, I'm cruisin'
Family fell apart 'cause of money, it got ruined
Now I'm lightin' up, more than ever, gettin' zooted
I can't help this feeling, take me back to the old days

[Interlude]
It's definitely different now
And I don't wanna come off ungrateful at all 'cause I appreciate everything, but
I don't know, let me tell you
Yeah

[Verse 1]
Nowadays, I gotta keep a pistol right beside me
Nowadays, you gotta get your issue if you try me
Nowadays, I don't trust anyone, I'm surrounded
I feel like my money's gettin' spent before I count it
Grateful that I'm still able to love, despite the
Fucked up shit I been through in the past
I might just, pour another shot in my glass to fight the
Feeling that this isn't gonna last
Yeah, I'm just-

[Verse 2]
I feel like I was just seventeen, wide-eyed
Ride around Atlanta in my Nissan at nighttime
Pickin' up my girl 'cause I didn't have hoes yet
Didn't have a gun 'cause I didn't have smoke yet
Now I'm more strapped than the government (Fact)
My rap name is my government (That's a fact)
So I take this shit more personally
Made Yung God 'fore they started worshippin' me (Yeah)
I know what's up with my thought power
I'm always up at odd hours (True)
These type of songs what they call out work
Just to feel this live ball out get merch
And I'm thankful for that, no truly (Truly)
I guess I mean the pain from the past flows through me (Through me)
Only 'cause that was a way simpler time
Mom and dad still loved each other just fine
Now it's dying, it's dead, damn

Now I'm lightin' up, more than ever gettin' zooted
I can't help this feeling, take me back to the old days

[Outro]
Riding 'round Atlanta, windows down, yeah I'm cruisin'
Family fell apart 'cause of money, it got ruined
Now I'm lightin' up, more than ever, gettin' zooted
I can't help this feeling, take me back to the old days

Russ

Russell Vitale is a rapper from Atlanta, Georgia, by way of New Jersey. A lifelong fan of rap, Russ began writing raps in his notebook at the age of 7. At 14, he began making beats, producing for his friend Bugus who had dreams of making it as a rapper. In high school, Russ made the decision to also pursue a career as a rapper himself.

Between 2011 and 2014, Russ released 11 mixtapes. These received minimal attention, and Russ decided to wait to release his debut album until he had enough of an audience. What followed was 96 consecutive weekly singles released to his SoundCloud page. Two notables among the slew of singles were “What They Want” and “Losin Control,” both of which ended up being certified 2x Platinum by the RIAA.

On May 5, 2017, Russ released his debut album There’s Really A Wolf, which spawned 7 singles with Gold certification or higher and was certified Platinum within a year of its release. A year later, his sophomore project ZOO came to be on September 7, 2018, this time opting to enlist external producers and featured artists. Then, at the end of January 2020, he dropped his long-awaited SHAKE THE SNOW GLOBE album, where he talks about love, haters and his wealth.
