[Verse 1: Soulja Boy]
Check out my bathing apes
I'm fresh to death and you like me
Don't try to cop my style, man
Stick to them Nikes
Green, white, black inside these
Super clean bathing apes
My shoes like my chain
Shine hard they might hurt your face
My Bape is my new jacket
Zip up so it hide me
Bapes on my feet and got Jibbs right beside me
You wanna get them (Yeah)
But you can't get like me (No)
Asking me "Soulja Boy, where you got your shoes" (Ayyy)

But I got King Kong so you could really say I'm bathing apes
It's even in my bathtub I really bathed an ape
Check the shoes on my feet I stay straight in Bapes

So take a look at them again, uh, these my [feet?]

Kicks purple yellow white, like my Kobye Bryant jersey
You ain't ever seen these shoes? Well let me tell you something, son
You see how fresh these shoes is? These is not no Air Force Ones
Step up on the stage with my mouth on froze
Bathing apes on my feet put the crowd on hold
Haters see them on my feet I know they getting madder
Little Arab rocking more colors than a bag of skittles

I got I got me some bathing apes
I got I got I got me some bathing apes

Bathing apes on my feet so i gotta keep it moving
Step up on the scene tell the girls start choosing
Start choosing, yo

Start choosing, yo
Start choosing, yo

Soulja Boy

DeAndre Cortez Way (b. July 28, 1990), better known as his stage name Soulja Boy, is a rapper, producer, and social media influencer born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Atlanta, Georgia whose debut single “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and would hold that spot for seven non-consecutive weeks.

At 15 years old, Soulja began uploading songs to SoundClick and eventually moved to YouTube and MySpace. By March 2007, he came up with the concept behind “Crank That” and uploaded the song—and a video of its accompanying dance—online. Two months later, in May 2007, “Crank That” started to go viral. He signed to Interscope Records in the same month. By October, his major label debut album Souljaboytellem.com was released and peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. But critics quickly blasted his simplistic lyrics and unorthodox flows, questioning whether or not he’d just be a one-hit wonder.

“Crank That” earned him a Grammy nomination and he would continue to find success with the songs “Kiss Me Thru the Phone”, “Turn My Swag On”, and “Pretty Boy Swag”. He’s released mixtape after mixtape, left Interscope, made noise with rumors of signing with YMCMB and eventually launched own label Stacks on Deck Entertainment.
