It's the night before Christmas and you're lying in bed
Visions of presents dance in your nasty little head
Look like an angel, you're a devil instead
You're gonna pay for all the things you said

(I'll tell you why)

You picked Santa's pocket and you stole his reindeer
You're only eight years old, I caught you drinking beer
You paint the cat red and pierced the dog's ear
You ain't getting nothin' this year

I truly feel for your current circumstance
You think I'm giving in, you ain't got a chance
You know I love you but you drive me insane
Chaos is your middle name

You ain't gеtting nothin' (you ain't getting nothin')
You ain't getting nothin' (you ain't getting nothin')
Your crocodilе tears are so insincere
You ain't getting nothin' this year

I said ho, ho, ho (ho, ho, ho)
I said no, no, no (no, no, no)
Ho, ho, ho (ho, ho, ho)
You ain't getting nothin' this year

It's a silent night but you won't stop talkin'
Don't be surprised if you get coal in your stockin'
You think the season's merry but you better think twice
You ain't getting nothin' this year

You ain't getting nothin' (you ain't getting nothin')
You ain't getting nothin' (you ain't getting nothin')
When you fall asleep I whisper in your ear
You ain't getting nothing this year

I said ho, ho, ho (ho, ho, ho)
I said no, no, no (no, no, no)
I said ho, ho, ho (ho, ho, ho)
You ain't getting nothin' this year

You ain't getting nothin' (you ain't getting nothin')
You ain't getting nothin' (you ain't getting nothin')
No candy canes and no Christmas cheer
You ain't getting nothing this year

The Goo Goo Dolls

The Goo Goo Dolls are an American rock band formed in 1986 in Buffalo, NY, during one of Buffalo’s most prolific underground music phases. The band was formed by John Rzeznik (Also known as Johnny Rzeznik), lead singer and songwriter for the band, with bassist/vocalist Robby Takac, and drummer George Tutuska. Mike Malinin later replaced Tutuska as the band’s drummer.

The band has released twelve studio albums between 1986 and 2017, but they are best known for platinum-selling A Boy Named Goo (1995) and Dizzy Up the Girl (1998). These mid- to late 1990s albums contain the Goo Goo Dolls' biggest hits to date – Name and Iris most notably, but also Slide, Black Balloon, and Dizzy

These hits made the Goo Goo Dolls a household name for radio-friendly “prom night power balladry” (as one Rolling Stone review put it), but the band’s early output was often far rougher musically, melding the band’s edgier punk influences with an often soft sensibility in the mold of the band’s early heroes, The Replacements. One can hear these influences on many songs on A Boy Named Goo though these affinities would fade after Dizzy Up the Girl.
