Songwriter: Jimmy Kennedy Georges Boulanger

Producer: Bill Medley

[Verse 1]
When the twilight is gone and no songbirds are singing
When the twilight is gone, you come into my heart
And here in my heart you will stay while I pray

[Verse 2]
My prayer is to linger with you
At the end of the day in a dream, that's divine
My prayer is a rapture in blue
With the world far away and your lips close to mine

[Verse 3]
Tonight while our hearts are aglow
Please tell me, please tell me the words
That I'm longing to know
My prayer and the answer you give
May they still be the same for as long as we live

[Outro]
That you'll always be there at the end of my prayer
My prayer

The Righteous Brothers

The Righteous Brothers were a musical duo of Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield, hailing from Orange County, California. They were originally members of The Paramours but began performing as a duo in 1962 after breaking off from the group.

Their first hit track was “You’ve Lost That Lovin' Feelin” but they released many other hits during their career.

The duo was active through the 1960s and 70s, and after a long split, they reunited in 1981 and performed up until Hatfield’s death in 2003. In 2016, Medley reformed the group with Bucky Heard.
