[Verse 1]
Your heart is like an ocean
I wanna dive into you
Your love is like a river
That I'm swimming through

[Pre-Chorus 1]
Somehow I found someone who truly loves me
For all of my flaws
If you can call when I am down, then I am yours

[Chorus]
So darling do you want me? Need me?
Stay the night, stay the night
I just want you near me, believe me
Stay the night, stay the night
And all of these roads I've walked down led to you
So darling, take it easy, lay with me
Stay the night, stay the night

[Verse 2]
Your eyes are constellations
You light up the dark
Such a beautiful creation
That's just what you are

[Pre-Chorus 2]
And I finally found someone who keeps me steady
Through every storm
If you can call when I am broken, I am yours

[Chorus]
So darling do you want me? Need me?
Stay the night, stay the night
I just want you near me, believe me
Stay the night, stay the night
And all of these roads I've walked down led to you
So darling, take it easy, lay with me
Stay the night, stay the night

[Bridge]
We are made up with broken pieces of love
And all we ever really need is someone
To put the pieces back together and make us whole, again

[Chorus]
Now do you want me? Need me?
Stay the night, stay the night
I want you near me, believe me
Stay the night, stay the night
And all of these roads I've walked down led to you
So darling, take it easy, lay with me
Stay the night, stay the night

The Shires

The Shires are a British country duo composed of singer-songwriters Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes. Earle sings vocals, plays piano and guitar, and Rhodes shares lead vocals. The duo formed in 2013 and released their record-breaking debut album Brave in 2015, becoming the first UK country act to chart in the Top 10 of the UK Albums Chart.

The group’s second album, My Universe, became the fastest-selling UK country album in history when it was released in October 2016. They hail from the neighbouring counties of Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire in England.

“Shire” is the original term for what is usually known as a county in the United Kingdom. The duo fittingly took the band name in order to maintain a British identity and take a small part of Britain to the United States. After playing hardly half a dozen shows together, The Shires caught the attention of Decca Records, who signed them in the United Kingdom, and they secured a contract with American record label Universal Music Group Nashville, thus becoming the first ever English country act to be signed to a major Nashville label. They were also the first ever UK country act to have a top ten album.
