[Intro]
I can feel in the air, that there's a freak in here
You know what to do baby if it's you
Come on

[Hook]
Someone out there is the one for me
Somehow I know you're there, I've been ready and waiting
Are you the one, baby? Oh
Someone out there is the one for me
Waiting on the day that you come for me, baby
The one for me (baby)
The one for me (baby)

[Verse 1]
Typical me deceptively dreaming of
A real kind of love
Not just somebody to talk to
Am I so wrong for trustin' in fate so long
Don't want to end up alone
Got a touch so good
Make you feel better, then you knew you could, oh yeah

[Hook]

[Bridge]
My heart tells me we're gonna make it
I promise you're all I need
Tell everyone that I'm your lady
I promise you're all I need, oh yeah

[Verse 2]
Night after night, I go to sleep waiting for
Someone to walk through the door
Somebody special is gonna be mine
Meeting is only a matter of time
Loving is only a matter of time
Touching is only a matter of time, oh
I can feel it in my soul this can't be wrong
Show me what I been missing all along, oh yeah

[Hook]

Tinashe

Tinashe Jorgenson Kachingwe, known mononymously as Tinashe, is an American singer-songwriter, actress, dancer, and former model born in Lexington, Kentucky and raised in Los Angeles, California.

Born on February 6, 1993, her rise to fame began with her acting on shows such as Two and a Half Men. Initially making her debut in the music industry via the short-lived girl group The Stunners—which also featured Hayley Kiyoko—she garnered attention from online music blogs with her 2012 mixtape, In Case We Die. Signing with RCA Records shortly after, she released two further mixtapes later that year and in 2013: Reverie and Black Water respectively. “2 On” was released in January 2014 as the lead single from her debut album, Aquarius, and remains her biggest solo single to date. Released in October that year, the album was praised by critics for its merging of old-school R&B sounds and fresh 2010s trends. The follow-up was subjected to much-criticised although “Player” was billed as the collection’s lead single as early as October 2015, songs released from the project failed to reach the label’s expectations, resulting in the release of an album’s worth of outtakes from the album, Nightride, in November 2016. Joyride was finally released on April 13: it features the singles “No Drama”, “Faded Love” and “Me So Bad”.

On February 18, 2019, Tinashe parted ways with her longtime record label RCA. By November that year, she inked a new management deal with Roc Nation and self-released Songs for You, her fourth studio album.
