[Verse 1]
Black
Then
White are
All I see
In my infancy
Red and yellow then came to be
Reaching out to me
Lets me see

[Pre-Chorus]
As below so above and beyond I imagine
Drawn beyond the lines of reason
Push the envelope
Watch it bend

[Chorus 1]
Over thinking, over analyzing, separates the body from the mind
Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must

[Post Chorus]
Feed my will to feel my moment
Drawing way outside the lines

[Verse 1]
Black
Then
White are
All I see
In my infancy
Red and yellow then came to be
Reaching out to me
Lets me see

[Verse 2]
There is
So
Much
More and
Beckons me
To look through to these
Infinite possibilities

[Pre-Chorus]
As below so above and beyond I imagine
Drawn outside the lines of reason
Push the envelope
Watch it bend

[Chorus 2]
Over thinking, over analyzing, separates the body from the mind
Withering my intuition, leaving opportunities behind

[Post-Chorus]
Feed my will to feel this moment
Urging me to cross the line
Reaching out to embrace the random
Reaching out to embrace whatever may come

[Bridge]
I embrace my desire to
I embrace my desire to
Feel the rhythm
To feel connected
Enough to step aside and
Weep like a widow
To feel inspired
To fathom the power
To witness the beauty
To bathe in the fountain
To swing on the spiral
To swing on the spiral
To swing on the spiral
Of our divinity and
Still be a human

[Guitar Solo]

[Outro]
With my feet upon the ground
I lose myself between the sounds
And open wide to suck it in
I feel it move across my skin
I'm reaching up and reaching out
I'm reaching for the random or
Whatever will bewilder me
Whatever will bewilder me
And following our will and wind
We may just go where no one's been
We'll ride the spiral to the end
And may just go where no one's been
Spiral out, keep going
Spiral out, keep going
Spiral out, keep going
Spiral out, keep going

Tool

Tool is an enigmatic heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California. Members include vocalist Maynard James Keenan, guitarist Adam Jones, drummer Danny Carey, and bassist Justin Chancellor. Chancellor replaced Paul D'Amour in 1995.

The band emerged with its first (and only) EP, Opiate (1992), and followed that up with their debut studio album, Undertow (1993), during the age of early 1990s grunge, and made their success by headlining Lollapalooza festivals aimed at that genre. After the alternative rock scene receded from the mainstream American ear, Tool continued into art rock and progressive rock, and have since released Ænima (1996), Lateralus (2001) and 10,000 Days (2006), which have gained worldwide critical and commercial success. After much anticipation for a fifth studio album for over 13 years, Fear Inoculum was released on August 30, 2019.

Tool’s approach has been part conviction, part sarcasm. While the band incorporates mathematical and ritualistic themes in their music, they have done so at such a level that their paradoxical belief system has hoodwinked a major part of their fan base. The band diligently utilizes multiple time signatures in all of the more recent releases, arranges their instruments into complex formations, and even incorporates the infamous Fibonacci Sequence in the song “Lateralus.”
