[Verse 1: 6ix9ine]
All this time that I spent up in here
Got me thinkin' 'bout the things that I did
Got me thinkin' like, "Why the fuck I did that?"
Got me wishin' that I could take it all back
Fighting with these demons, barely even eatin'
Barely even sleepin', this shit got me tweakin'
Fighting with my lawyers for a better offer
Just wanna see my daughter, 'cause

[Chorus: Akon]
I'm locked up, they won't let me out
They won't let me out
I'm locked up, they won't let me out
No, they won't let me out
I'm locked up, they won't let me out
Never thought I'd be caught up in the streets, yeah
Locked up, they won't let me out
No, they won't let me out

[Verse 2: 6ix9ine]
Havin' dreams about livin' my life
I've been havin' dreams about bein' outside
I've been, little baby girl, please, don't cry, no
Please don't, no, no
No, no, no, no no (No)
Mama said, "Hold my hand, no crying, no"
Know these niggas wanna take my life, (I know)
Little baby boy, please, don't die, (I know)
And I'm like, no, no
No, no, no, no (No)
Tell me why, tell me how I really love these niggas
Tell me why, tell me why would I trust these niggas
Hearin' voices in my head, sayin', "Fuck these niggas"
My niggas, my niggas, these ain't my niggas
They gon' say what they gon' say, nigga, yeah, I know
They can say what they want, they don't know what I know
Ain't nothin' you can tell me 'bout this life I chose
I was facin' forty-seven to life

[Chorus: Akon]
I'm locked up, they won't let me out
They won't let me out
I'm locked up, they won't let me out
No, they won't let me out
I'm locked up, they won't let me out
Never thought I'd be caught up in the streets, yeah
Locked up, they won't let me out
No, they won't let me out

[Verse 3: Akon]
I'm still tryna find that motive
Of why I did what I did
I didn't wanna feel that struggle
Just wanted to hurry up and get rich
And while that money piled up
Jealous niggas askin' questions, "Why not us?" Yeah
And when you get caught up, nobody wants to seem to be a rider, yeah
Everybody wanna talk the street code
But only follow when convenient for them
They quick to tell you that they ride for you, die for you
But quick to bite the hand that feeds them

[Verse 4: 6ix9ine & Akon]
I know I can't keep lovin' you (Loving you)
I know I can't keep trustin' you (Trustin' you)
I put my life in front of you (I put my whole life)
Tell me what I'm supposed to do
This shit get complicated, ah (Complicated)
My blood, thought you was ride or die (Ride or die)
I was just tryna change your life (Tryna change your life)
But you had something else in mind (Something else in mind)

[Outro: Akon]
Yeah
Something else in mind, yeah
I'm locked up

Daniel Hernandez (born May 8, 1996), better known as Tekashi 6ix9ine, is a New York-born Mexican and Puerto Rican rapper known for his aggressive musical style, viral antics, and outlandish look. His rainbow dyed hair, rainbow grills, and over two hundred tattoos featuring many different variations of his stage name have also attracted attention.

Tekashi began writing songs as a teenager under the names Wallah Dan, Danny Loaf, and Tekashi69 before finally settling on 6ix9ine in 2017. That same year, Tekashi befriended Ohio rapper Trippie Redd who introduced himself to the hip-hop world on a large scale when their song “Poles1469” became a viral hit.

6ix9ine gained further attention in October 2017 with the release of his solo single “GUMMO”, a top fifteen hit on the Billboard Hot 100. He followed this success with his Nicki Minaj and Murda Beatz assisted single “FEFE” in July 2018, which peaked at #3 in the US. Another single, the Bobby Shmurda featuring “STOOPID,” gained attention on the charts as well before Tekashi released his debut album DUMMY BOY in November 2018. The album was a critical failure, but was a commercial success, peaking at #2 in the US despite being released halfway through the album tracking week.
