[Intro]
Welcome home, mom
We're here now
Ay yo, mom

[Verse 1]

Remember day you exchange, my nigga? (Do you remember?)
'Cause I remember
We held down us three, my nigga (Do you remember?)
'Cause I remember
Remember me tryna flee, my nigga? (Do you remember?)
'Cause I remember
To the airport with 30 G's, my nigga (Do you remember?)
'Cause I remember
Got incarcerated with them G's, my nigga (Damn)
'Cause I remember ('Cause I remember)
Looking forward to when they set you free, my nigga
Oh, I remember (oh, I remember), yeah

[Chorus]
'Cause this life that I'm living (This life that I'm living)
It's got a partition (It's got a partition)
One half good, the other half hood
Makes the town think I'm trippin' (But I ain't trippin')
Even after makin' all this money
The nigga still wanna go back (Go back)
Even after makin' all this money
The nigga still wanna go back (Go back)
'Cause I can't shake the memory (I can't shake it), no (I miss the hood, y'all)
Just can't shake the memory (I can't shake it), no (I miss the hood, y'all)

[Verse 2]
Remember how we ran the streets, my nigga? (My nigga)
'Cause I remember
All them foreign whips we never leased, my nigga
Do you remember? (Do you remember?)
Loud ass system with them beats, my nigga (My nigga)
Do you remember? (Do you remember?)
With the rooftop missing the other seats, my nigga
Do you remember? (Do you remember?)
Even if you aren't here, my nigga (What up, D?)
Always remember
'Cause you was there to always give me what I need, my nigga
And I'll never forget it (Never forget it)

[Chorus]
That's why this life that I'm living (This life that I'm living)
It's got a partition (It's got a partition)
One half good, the other half hood
Makes the town think I'm trippin' (But I ain't trippin')
Even after makin' all this money
The nigga still wanna go back (Go back)
Even at the making of all this money
The nigga still wanna go back (Go back)
Because I can't shake the memory (I can't shake it), no (I miss the hood, y'all)
Just can't shake the memory (I can't shake it), no (I miss the hood, y'all)

[Verse 3]
It's hard to believe, my nigga
But I'll always remember (Always remember)
We started from the dirt to make at this cheese, my nigga
And I'll always remember (And I'll always remember)
Even harder to believe, my nigga
And I'll always remember
We went from asking G's "what you need, my nigga?"
And I'll always remember (I'll always remember)
Remember when I said I'd never leave, my nigga
And I'll always remember (I'll always remember)
It's time I get back to the streets, my nigga
I'll always remember (I'll always remember)

[Chorus]
'Cause you know this life that I'm living (This life that I'm living)
It's got a partition (It's got a partition)
One half good, the other half hood
Makes the town think I'm trippin' (But I ain't trippin')
Even at the making of all this money
The nigga still wanna go back (Go back)
Even after makin' all this money
The nigga still wanna go back (Go back)
'Cause I can't shake the memory (I can't shake it), no (I miss the hood, y'all)
Just can't shake the memory (I can't shake it), no (I miss the hood, y'all)
