[Verse 1]
And the wheels go 'round and around
And the headlights shining fade in and fade out
And the cigarette burns, burns, burns
And the cigarette burns, burns, burns
I don't care, 'cause I'm wasted
I don't care, 'cause I'm wasted

[Verse 2]
And the road goes up in smoke
So I paint a picture in my head
Of where I'm supposed to go
I don't care, 'cause I'm wasted
I don't care, 'cause I'm wasted

[Pre-Chorus]
And the wheels go 'round and around

[Chorus]
And I am an animal, I am an animal
'Cause you can't control my brain
And that makes it impossible
And I am an animal

[Verse 3]
And the voices take their toll
And so you're waiting (So you're waiting)
And hopin' that they'd let you go
You don't care, 'cause you're floating
You don't care, 'cause you're floating

[Pre-Chrous]
And the wheels go 'round and around

[Chorus]
And I am an animal, I am an animal
'Cause you can't control my brain
And that makes it impossible
And I am an animal

[Bridge]
So we'll get drunk and we'll make love
And we'll break up and we'll make up
And we'll wake up over again

[Pre-Chorus]
And the wheels go 'round and around

[Chorus]
And I am an animal, I am an animal
'Cause you can't control my brain
And that makes it impossible
And I am an animal

Alec Benjamin

After getting dropped by Columbia Records at 18 years old, singer-songwriter Alec Benjamin built a following by playing in parking lots outside of Shawn Mendes and Troye Sivan concerts. The Phoenix, Arizona native caught the attention of Jon Bellion, earning a songwriting credit on Bellion’s debut album and later joined him on tour.

To build on the momentum, Benjamin began uploading new songs to his YouTube channel at a rapid clip and eventually earned on a viral hit with “I Built a Friend” and a deal with Atlantic Records.

Benjamin connects to listeners by incorporating using his life struggles to tell stories and give meaning to his songs. You can see this in “Let Me Down Slowly,” “Paper Crown,” “I Built a Friend,” “Death of a Hero,” and “If We Have Each Other.”
