Love is easy
No complications
In a perfect world

Ooh, la la la la la la ah
Ooh, la la la la la la ah
Ooh, la la la la la la ah

His day is over
It's just another night
The same old faces
Always pass him by
His heart is willing
But the world's so cold
Oh how he longs for
Someone real to hold

She takes the bus home
To her usual place
All kinds of people
But they leave no trace
She knows by now
That dreams are not enough
All she wanted
Was someone real to love

And just as surely as the sun will rise
Each one knows that there'll be no surprise
Yet still each day they live in hope
And try for more
There must be someone
Who's worth dying for

Hmmm
All we need is understanding
Love is easy
When boy meets girl
Maybe tomorrow we'll try again
No complications
In a perfect world

Ooh, la la la la la la ah

Hmmm
All we need is understanding
Love is easy
When boy meets girl
Maybe tomorrow we'll try again
No complications
In a perfect world

In a perfect world

Ooh, la la la la la la ah

She'll sit and wonder
Where it's all gonna end
It's getting harder
For the young to pretend
Their dreams may never see
The light of day
It's not a perfect world
That they have made
Yet still each day they live in hope
And try for more
It's not a perfect world
Their dreams may never see
The light of day
It's not a perfect world
That they have made
It's not a perfect world

Ooh, la la la la la la ah
