Bette: Everybody wants to find a love
Somebody, somebody who will always care
But we get locked up in our own worlds
With feelings and secrets we're afraid to share

David: But all I have to do is see you smile
Or maybe, just maybe if I brush your hand;
Something happens I cannot explain
And somehow, oh somehow I can understand

David: I, I think you're gonna find . .
Bette: I'm gonna find you
I'm gonna find you . .

Bette&David: I know you by heart
You're so much a part of me
I know you by heart
David: Can't you see?

Bette&David: It's no wonder I can love you
The way that I do
I can finish any sentence you start
Woah, I know you, I know you by heart

David: I know every time your gonna call
I pick up the phone before it ever rings
Bette: And when you need some lovin', I'll be there
Beside you, anticipating everything

David: Oh, it's like I always said . .
Bette: You're the one I want
And all I want is you
David:I'm inside your head

Bette&David: I know you by heart
David: You're so much a part of me
B&D: I know you by heart
Bette: Can't you see?

Bette&David:It's no wonder I can love you
The way that I do
I can finish any sentence you start
Hey, woah, I know you by heart
David: I know you by heart

Bette&David: So much a part of me
It's no wonder I love you
The way that I do
I can finish any sentence you start
I know you, I know you by heart

I know you by heart
So much a part of me
I know you by heart
So much a part of me

I know you by heart
So much a part of me
I know you by heart
Yeah, I know you by heart
You're so much a part of me
So much a part of me
I know you by heart
You're so much a part of me !

Bette Midler

Bette Midler is a Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, comedienne and actress. Named in honor of Bette Davis, Midler’s career began performing off-broadway until she developed the stage persona The Divine Miss M while singing at the world-famous Continental Baths gay bathhouse. A pre-fame Barry Manilow, the venue’s in-house piano player, produced her Grammy-nominated debut album which scored three US top 40 singles including the Grammy-nominated “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”. Midler took home the Best New Artist Grammy that year, her first of three career wins.

Throughout the 1970s, Midler found further success with music, Broadway, television and film. The Rose, Midler’s 1979 acting debut, earned her both Oscar and Academy Award nominations, and its namesake song won her a Golden Globe and another Grammy – also giving Midler her first success overseas.

The early 1980s proved less successful for Midler with four under-performing singles and a box office flop with the film Jinxed. However, the second half of the decade would prove far more fruitful with a handful of very successful films including Down and Out in Beverly Hills, Ruthless People, Outrageous Fortune and Beaches, the latter featuring a chart-topping cover of “Wind Beneath My Wings” that won Midler her third Grammy and is considered one of the greatest songs in American film history.
