[Intro]
I hear cries tonight
I hear cries tonight
Ain't no love
Ain't no life

I hear cries tonight
I hear cries tonight
I hear cries tonight
I hear, I hear
I hear cries tonight
I hear cries tonight
I hear cries tonight
I hear, I hear

[Verse 1]
Like all of the best, we've been taken
Like all of the lost, we've been had
Pray God, kingdom come, deliver us
Amen
All life, is it lost, have they won

[Chorus]
Ain't no love in a concrete kingdom
Ain't much life
Ain't no life in a concrete kingdom
I hear cries tonight

Ain't no love
Ain't no life
Ain't no right
What's for my son

[Verse 2]
When all of the good have been taken
Where all of the lost have gone
Ravaged, then raped, annihilation-amen
All life, is it lost, have they won

[Chorus]
Ain't no love in a concrete kingdom
Ain't much light
Ain't no life in a concrete kingdom
I hear the cries tonight
Ain't no love
Ain't no light
Ain't no right
Ain't much love in a concrete kingdom
Ain't much light
What's for my son

[Bridge]
I - I wanna know why
I wanna know why
We're shrinking from the sun
I said now I, I wanna know why
I wanna know why, there's poison - Everyone

[Chorus]
There ain't no love, in a concrete kingdom
Ain't much light
Ain't no life in a concrete kingdom
I hear the cries tonight - I hear, I hear

[Outro]
Ain't no love
Ain't no light
Ain't no right
Ain't much love in a concrete kingdom
Ain't much light
Ain't no light - in a concrete kingdom
Ain't no light
Ain't no right
Ain't no light
Ain't no right
What's for my son

Billy Idol

Billy Idol is an English rock musician, songwriter and actor. Born in Stanmore, Middlesex, Idol first achieved fame in the punk rock era as a member of the band Generation X. Unlike other British punk rock artists of his era, Idol was inspired by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

Idol then embarked on a successful solo career, and was a member of the MTV-driven “Second British Invasion” of the United States. A series of music videos for songs such as “Dancing With Myself”, “White Wedding”, “Rebel Yell” and “Eyes Without a Face” made him one of the first MTV stars. Idol continues to tour with guitarist Steve Stevens.

Idol’s 1987 release, “Mony Mony” reached #1 on the US top 40 charts; his songs to chart in the top 10 include: White Wedding, Eyes Without a Face, To Be a Lover and Cradle of Love.
