[Verse 1]
For the kids in the schools
And the teachers are fools
And you just want to break

I said you're close to the edge
And you're pissed at your work
And the boss is just a jerk

From promises to preacher
And nothing is Nietzsche
And I can't stand the church

I have my opinion
And I don't want to win
Now I just have to work
All right!

[Chorus]
I feel the whole world comin'
Down on me
I feel the whole world comin'
Down on me

[Verse 2]
Well, the judge and the jury
They thought they could school me
And teach me the value of thrift

They put me inside on a one-to-five
And I just had to quit
Well, early in the morning
When we are balling
I nearly had a fit

It came to my head
And I just had to sing
Ain't gonna be nobody's bitch

[Chorus]
I feel the whole world comin'
Down on me
I feel the whole world comin'
Down on me

Comin' down
Down on me
It's comin' down
It's comin down, down, down on me

[Verse 3]
There's only one thing
That I can do now
Go lie in the sun
I want to soak up the rays
And burn myself black
'Cause cancer day has come

And everything you do
To protect yourself
Well, it ain't gonna happen right
You junkie pimps
And mother-fucking whores
Enjoy yourself tonight
All right!

[Chorus]
I feel the whole world comin'
Down on me
I feel the whole world comin'
Down on me

Yeah!
Comin' down
Down on me
It's comin' down, it's comin' down, down, down on me

[Guitar solo]

[Outro]
Comin' down
Down on me
It's comin' down
It's comin' down, down, down and
I feel the whole world
Comin' down, comin' down on me
I feel the whole world
Comin' down, comin' down on me
I feel the whole world
Comin' down, comin' down on me
I feel the whole world
Comin' down!
Down on me
It's comin' down
It's comin' down, down, down on me

Billy Idol

Billy Idol is an English rock musician, songwriter and actor. Born in Stanmore, Middlesex, Idol first achieved fame in the punk rock era as a member of the band Generation X. Unlike other British punk rock artists of his era, Idol was inspired by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

Idol then embarked on a successful solo career, and was a member of the MTV-driven “Second British Invasion” of the United States. A series of music videos for songs such as “Dancing With Myself”, “White Wedding”, “Rebel Yell” and “Eyes Without a Face” made him one of the first MTV stars. Idol continues to tour with guitarist Steve Stevens.

Idol’s 1987 release, “Mony Mony” reached #1 on the US top 40 charts; his songs to chart in the top 10 include: White Wedding, Eyes Without a Face, To Be a Lover and Cradle of Love.
