Songwriter: Biz Markie

[Intro]

[Verse 1]
I said-I said-I said-I said my name is Biz Markie
And all the people only know me for comedy
I make you laugh, I make you giggle ha-ha, he-he-he
I graduated from Hip-Hop University
I got-I got-I got a license from the DMV
And sometimes you see me rolling in a Cherokee
Whether I'm from Connecticut or DC
I make-I make a party cook like Chef Boyardee
I be-I be [?]
And you can go with the flow or you can disagree
You know-you know-you know I got a degree
Or you get can a DT to check my my pedigree
Now you can write the NAACP
Or ask Al Sharpton how I be
[?]
That nobody beats the B-I-Z

[Chorus]

[Verse 2]
I got-I got-I got-I got to get on down
And let you listen to the [?] funky sound
[?] that makes your day
So listen [?] any word I say
Lordy-lordy-lordy, thank you for the gift
That's guaranteed to rock and give the party a lift
I rock-I rock the house with the greatest emcees
[?] your body and knock you to your knees
Eh-eh-eh-eh, that is my talk
You can tell I'm from [?] in New York
I got-I got smarts like Doctor [?]
I talk more bull than the team in Chicago
I try-I try-I try to spit it all out
That I'm the super-duper-party-pooper without no doubt
Check-I check-I check where I'm coming from
I'm long-lasting like chewing gum

[Chorus]

[Verse 3]
No studda, no step, just straight up me
To my dance every chance that you give me
Party rock, show shocker, a rap technique
For all the homeboys and all of you freaks
[?] toupee and weave
And to all of my people smoking them leaves
On the streets, on the mic, I keep it real
And you know I [?] wheels of steel
I got 45 stacked up to the ceiling
From Boogie Nights to Sexual Healing
And the person I'm diversing without no cursing
I may not be the best but I'm far from the worst
[?], can't match my dough
[?]
Take the [?] and put the boogie in your body 'cause
Ain't no party like a Biz Mark party

[Chorus]

Biz Markie

Marcel Theo Hall (born April 8, 1964), better known by his stage name Biz Markie, is an American rapper, beatboxer, DJ, comedian, singer, reality television personality, and commercial spokesperson. He is best known for his hit single “Just a Friend” and has been called “the Clown Prince of Hip Hop.”

Markie found a love of music through his father, a multi-instrumentalist who played in local Long Island clubs when Markie was a child. Later, Markie performed at house parties on Long Island until he felt confident enough to go to Manhattan and pursue a career in music. He began waiting outside on the stoop of producer Marley Marl’s house daily until Marley took notice of him. Marley assembled a group of rappers including Markie with Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Masta Ace, Roxanne Shante, and others and called them The Juice Crew. Markie was especially known for his beatboxing, something he’d been doing since he was seven years old.

Markie’s first release, a 1986 EP titled “Make The Music With Your Mouth, Biz”, was put out under the name Biz Markie “The Inhuman Orchestra”. Its title track became a minor R&B Chart hit. Two years later, “Vapors”, a single from his debut album Goin' Off, gave him his second appearance on the R&B Chart. Years later, Snoop Dogg’s 1997 cover of the song would take “Vapors” into the top 40 on the UK, Scotland and New Zealand pop charts.
