[Intro]
(Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do
Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do
Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do
Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do)
Why are you mad at me?
Just because I have more money to see?
Just because I have a better J-O-B?
Or just because my woman is not ugly?
Is it because of bigger rocks in my jewelry?
And I can hang out like a celebrity?
You must not know I'm blessed by G-O-D
That's no reason to hate on me

[Verse 1]
I'm working hard for my money like Donna Summer
You look look at me like I'm Jim Carrey from Dumb and Dummer
So what I got a sick hundred and convertible Hummer
I'm doing something positive ain't that a bummer
You try to treat mе like I'm a new comer
I'm still digging in hеr pipes like I am a plumber
No matter what I do, no matter what I say
This happens every each and every day

[Chorus]
Someone's knocking at my door (Haters)
Someone's ringing the bell (Haters)
Someone's knocking at my door (Haters)
Someone's ringing the bell (Haters)
Do me a favor (Favor)
Open the door
And let 'em in (Oh, yeah)

[Verse 2]
It's a lot of trouble everyday that I walk
Haters haters all over, LA to New York
Finna work to stop the rulers, and all of them talkers
Like I'm from outer space, like I'm from Mars
I'm the Biz Markie, as you can see
Most definitely don't have a PhD
I don't know why people get M-A-D
I thought everybody 'round was an O-P-P
Like Jamie said "Don't get mad, go get your own"
You are acting childish and I'm full grown
This is one thing that y'all don't know
But I'm b-b-b-b-b-b-bad to the bone
Y'all know what I'm talking about
If haters do exist let me hear you shout
No matter what I do, no matter what I say
This happens each and every day

[Chorus]
Someone's knocking at my door (Haters)
Someone's ringing the bell (Haters)
Someone's knocking at my door (Haters)
Someone's ringing the bell (Haters)
Do me a favor (Favor)
Open the door
And let 'em in (Oh, yeah)

[Verse 3]
The ulterior motive of some ladies are
Different from the gentle 70's and 80's
It used to be about love from heart to heart
Now they want to know what you drive before they start
What kinda car, how much money in your bank
Is it Moet or Crystal that you drank
Now they want to be your friend and that's not your man
They play dumb like they don't understand
When your happy they hate to see because misery love's company
Most of y'all young ladies gotta learn how to wait
Don't worry god will make us good anyways
What come's around goes around in it's own right
It happens it don't matter if your black or white
No matter what I do, no matter what I say
This happens each and every day

[Chorus]
Someone's knocking at my door (Haters)
Someone's ringing the bell (Haters)
Someone's knocking at my door (Haters)
Someone's ringing the bell (Haters)
Do me a favor (Favor)
Open the door
And let 'em in (Oh, yeah)
Someone's knocking at my door (Haters)
Someone's ringing the bell (Haters)
Someone's knocking at my door (Haters)
Someone's ringing the bell (Haters)
Do me a favor (Favor)
Open the door
And let 'em in (Oh, yeah)

[Verse 4]
What's your name? (Biz Markie)
What's your sign? (I'm an Aries)
How you feeling? (You know how I'm feeling)
I'm feeling fine (Okay, baby)
What's your name? (Biz Markie)
What's your sign? (I'm an Aries)
How you feeling? (You know how I'm feeling)
I'm feeling fine (Okay, baby)

[Outro]
Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do
Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do
Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do
Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do

Biz Markie

Marcel Theo Hall (born April 8, 1964), better known by his stage name Biz Markie, is an American rapper, beatboxer, DJ, comedian, singer, reality television personality, and commercial spokesperson. He is best known for his hit single “Just a Friend” and has been called “the Clown Prince of Hip Hop.”

Markie found a love of music through his father, a multi-instrumentalist who played in local Long Island clubs when Markie was a child. Later, Markie performed at house parties on Long Island until he felt confident enough to go to Manhattan and pursue a career in music. He began waiting outside on the stoop of producer Marley Marl’s house daily until Marley took notice of him. Marley assembled a group of rappers including Markie with Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Masta Ace, Roxanne Shante, and others and called them The Juice Crew. Markie was especially known for his beatboxing, something he’d been doing since he was seven years old.

Markie’s first release, a 1986 EP titled “Make The Music With Your Mouth, Biz”, was put out under the name Biz Markie “The Inhuman Orchestra”. Its title track became a minor R&B Chart hit. Two years later, “Vapors”, a single from his debut album Goin' Off, gave him his second appearance on the R&B Chart. Years later, Snoop Dogg’s 1997 cover of the song would take “Vapors” into the top 40 on the UK, Scotland and New Zealand pop charts.
