[Intro]
One, two
One, two, three, four
Yeah, huh, oh

[Verse 1]
I went down to the center of the town
'Neath my feet was the burning ground
She stood on the corner, sexy as can be
Said "Hey good looking, walk along with me"
I said "Yeah, oh yeah
I'm your stealer
Come to steal your love"

[Verse 2]
Sun was shining, the world was bright
I said, "Tell me darling, where you gonna be tonight now?"
"Goin' around the corner, where the music's loud
I'm tired of the city, I'm gonna cab me around"
And I said "Yeah, alright, oh yeah
I'm your stealer
I come to steal your love"

[Bridge]
Oh, uh
Come to
I come to steal
Oh yeah

[Verse 3]
"Goin' around the corner, where the music's loud
I'm tired of the city, I'm gonna go cab me around"
And I said "Yeah, are you talking, yeah
I'm your stealer
Come on, let me steal your love"

[Outro]
Whoa, hold on
Let me steal it now
Let me steal it now
Let me steal, steal
Oh, come steal it, I gotta steal it
I come steal it, oh I come steel
Oh, oh, oh
Yeah, ow
Alright, alright

As a locally successful Detroit-area artist, he performed and recorded as Bob Seger and the Last Heard and Bob Seger System throughout the 1960s. By the early 1970s, he had dropped the “System” from his recordings and continued to strive for broader success with various other bands. In 1973, he put together the Silver Bullet Band, with a group of Detroit-area musicians, with whom he became most successful on the national level with the album Live Bullet, recorded live with the Silver Bullet Band in 1975 at Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan. On his studio albums, he also worked extensively with the Alabama-based Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, which appeared on several of Seger’s best-selling singles and albums.

In 1976, he achieved a national breakout with the studio album Night Moves. The Night Moves title track became his first Billboard Top 5 single and the album started a string six consecutive albums landing in the Billbaord Top 10. The 1980 album, Against the Wind, topped the charts.
