I think I'm going to Katmandu
I think that's really where I'm goin' to
And if I ever get out of here, that's what I'm gonna do
K-K-K-K-K-K-Katmandu
I think that's really where I'm goin' to
And if I ever get out of here, I'm goin' to Katmandu

I got no kick against the West Coast
Warner Brothers are such good hosts
I raise my whiskey glass, give them a toast
I'm sure they know it's true
I got no rap against the Southern states
Every time that I've been there, it's been great
But now I'm leavin' and I can't be late
And to myself be true

That's why I'm goin' to Katmandu
Really, really goin' to
And if I ever get out of here, that's what I'm gonna do
Ow!
Katmandu
Take me with you 'cause I'm goin' too
Now if I ever get out of here, I'm goin' to Katmandu
Oh!

(Guitar solo)

(Saxophone solo)

I ain't got nothin' 'gainst the East Coast
You want some people where they got the most
New York City's like a friendly old ghost
You seem to pass right through
I know I'm gonna miss the USA
I guess I'll miss it every single day
But no one loves me here anyway
I know my plane is due

The one that's goin' to Katmandu
Really, really goin' to
And if ever get out of here, that's what I'm gonna do, gonna do
Oh!
Katmandu
Really, really, really, goin' to
If I ever get out of here...If I ever get out of here...
If I ever get out of here, I'm goin' to Katmandu. Oh!
Oooh, oooh, oooh
Oooh, oooh, oooh
Oooh, oooh, yeah. Oh

Katmandu, Katmandu, Katmandu, Katmandu. Alright
Katmandu, Katmandu, Katmandu, Katmandu. Yeah!
Katmandu, Katmandu, Katmandu, Katmandu. Yeah!

(Guitar and saxophone plays)

Ow!
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, yeah!
Oh! Oh! Oh yeah
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, yeah!
I wanna go
Ow! I've got to go, I've got to go
Hey! I've got to go, I've got to go, uhhhah
Oh, I've got to go, I've got to go
Ow!

(Guitar and saxophone continues playing)

Katmandu. Goodnight everybody!

(Outro; saxophone playing)

Bob Seger

Robert Clark “Bob” Seger (born May 6, 1945) is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and pianist. As a locally successful Detroit-area artist, he performed and recorded as Bob Seger and the Last Heard and Bob Seger System throughout the 1960s. By the early 1970s, he had dropped the “System” from his recordings and continued to strive for broader success with various other bands. In 1973, he put together the Silver Bullet Band, with a group of Detroit-area musicians, with whom he became most successful on the national level with the album Live Bullet, recorded live with the Silver Bullet Band in 1975 at Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan. On his studio albums, he also worked extensively with the Alabama-based Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, which appeared on several of Seger’s best-selling singles and albums.

In 1976, he achieved a national breakout with the studio album Night Moves. The Night Moves title track became his first Billboard Top 5 single and the album started a string six consecutive albums landing in the Billbaord Top 10. The 1980 album, Against the Wind, topped the charts.
