Autos o dromos pou exo pari me ehi bgali se pseftika fota
(this path I have taken leads to fake lights)
Ego omos thelo na ta po ke tolmao na htupao mia porta
(but I want to talk and I dare to knock a door)
Kanis de bgeni.. ke oute psithutos oute ena simadi
(but noone comes out... no whisper not a sign)
Oli i poli exi klisi fobate ke auti to skotadi
(the whole town is dead, scared of the dark)
Na mporousa na krufto... i na hatho.. afou se touto ton kosmo kanis gia kanena de niazete
(if only I could hide... or be lost... since in this world noone cares for noone)
Na ginotan na ise edo... na kratitho makrua apo ena kosmo pou klai xtupiete kai ftiahnete
(if only you could be here... to stay away from a world that cries, ... and gets high )
Giati tosi erimia... monaksia ... pethaino stin erimia
(why so much desertness ... loneliness... i'm dying in the desertness)
Ke esi ise panta makrua
(and you are always away)
Dos mou ena sima zois, s' apostasi mias anapnois
(give me a sign of life, in a breath distance)
Kimise me mes stin zesti sou aggalia
(have me in your warm hands)
Ke den tha bgalo tsimoudia
(and I won't speak at all)
Giati tosi erimia... monaksia... petheno stin erimia
(why so much desertness ... loneliness... i'm dying in the desertness)
Ke esi ise panta makrua
(and you are always away)

You move the veil from your face
And escape from the world that is hurting
You feel oppressed when you know
That the words are killing the meaning

There is no reason to hide in the dark
When you're far from the fighting
How can you dream in a world that is getting greyer than grey?
You don't have to hide your face, there's no disgrace
There's no harm in knowing that we're all a part of the human race

You have got to lift your head, think of what he said
You were born to know the truth, nothing but the truth, and what the truth is
Worth

Oh, the desert is in your heart
In your heart
The desert is in your heart
In your heart
It's so hard to try to forget
So many thinks you regret
You try to look back, but there's little to see
Just nothing can't take this pain from me

Oh, the desert is in your heart
In your heart
You don't have to hide your face
There's no disgrace
There's no harm in knowing we're all a part of the human race
You have got to lift your head, think of what he said
You were born to know the truth, nothing but the truth, and what the truth is
Worth

Oh, the desert is in your heart
In your heart
The desert is in your heart
In your heart
Dos mou ena sima zois
Se apostasi mias anapnois
Kimise me mes ti zesti sou aggalia
Kai de tha bgalo tsimoudia
Giati tosi erimia
In your heart
Petheno stin erimia
In your heart
The desert is in your heart
Monaksia
The desert is in your heart
Ke esi ise panta makrua

Bonnie Tyler

Bonnie Tyler (born Gaynor Hopkins) was born on June 8, 1951 in Skewen, Wales. She was one of the most famous singers in the 80’s and is known for her noticeably rough and husky vocals.

Her first single, charting at #9 in her home country, “Lost In France,” put her in the public eye. After a bit of silence throughout the late 70s and early 80s, her best-selling and best-performing single on the charts of all time, “Total Eclipse of The Heart,” was released. Her 5th album, Faster Than The Speed of Night, also topped the charts in a few countries possibly because it contained Total Eclipse. Another notable song, “Holding Out for a Hero,” was released one year later for the Footloose soundtrack.

Tyler married Robert Sullivan, an Olympic judo contestant in 1973. They have no children. As of 2018, she is 66 years old and still in good health.
