[Verse 1: Shawn & Nate]
In this world today
Love is scarce and far away
And your heart gets so afraid to trust someone
All the times he let you down
There was no love to be found
Well it's not the end
There'll be time to mend
And you'll love again

[Chorus]
Never, Never let a broken heart
Take a chance for love away
Don't never let it make you fall apart
Never, Never ever let the pain
Take your need for love away
Never, no never

[Verse 2: Wanya]
And I know it seems hard
Open up let down your guards
But you owe it to your heart
To try again
Oh comes the time
When we must change
What the past has thrown away
Don't take the blame
Don't be ashamed
Throw your fears away

[Chorus]
Never, Never let a broken heart
Take a chance for love away
Don't never let it make you fall apart
Never, Never ever let the pain
Take your need for love away
Never, no never

[Bridge: Nate & Wanya]
I know don't be afraid
Or you will never find
Another one you love again
I know that you'll be sorry girl
Be strong before it's too late
Because forever is too long
For you to live in pain
Just don't give up
Please open up to love
To love, to love

[Chorus]
Never, Never let a broken heart
Take a chance for love away
Don't never let it make you fall apart
Never, Never ever let the pain
Take your need for love away
Never, no never

[Outro]
Never, Never let a broken heart
Take a chance for love away
Don't never let it make you fall apart
Never, Never ever let the pain
Take your need for love away
Never, no never

[Wanya adlibs]
So don't be afraid
You'll love again
No you don't have to live in pain
Its never too late
You'll find a way to love
Girl don't be afraid
You'll love again
Girl you don't have to live in pain
When there's a way
You'll find a way
It's never too late
You'll find a way to love

Boyz II Men

Boyz II Men is an R&B vocal quartet from Philadelphia who became the most successful pop group of the 1990s. They’re best known for their passionate ballads, including the number one hits “End of The Road,” “On Bended Knee,” and “I’ll Make Love To You.”

An early version of the group was founded by Nathan Morris in the mid 1980s while attending the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts, where he recruited students Wanya Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Michael McCary. Singer Marc Nelson was also an early member, but left the group before their big break.

The group—who took its name from New Edition’s song “Boys To Men”—was discovered in 1988 after auditioning for New Edition’s Michael Bivins backstage at a concert. Bivins signed the group to his management company and secured them a contract with Motown Records.
