It's the tracks of my, tracks of my, tracks of my tears
Tracks of my...ooh ooh...
Ooh...ooh...ooh...

[Verse 1]
People say I'm the life of the party
'Cause I tell a joke or two
Although I might be laughing out loud and hearty
Deep inside I'm blue

[Chorus]
So take a good look at my face
You'll see this smile looks out of place
If you look closer it's easy to trace
The tracks of my tears

I need you (need you)
Need you (need you)

[Verse 2]
Since you left me, if you see me with another girl
Seeming like I'm having fun
Although he might be cute she's just a substitute
Because you're the permanent one

[Chorus]
So take a good look at my face, uh-huh
You'll see my smile looks out of place
Look even closer it's easy to trace
The tracks of my tears

Oh, I need you (need you)
Need you (need you)
Ooh...oh-oh

[Bridge]
(Outside) I'm masquerading
(Inside) my hope is fading
(I'm just a clown) oh yeah, since you put me down
My smile is my make-up I wear since my break-up with you

[Chorus]
So take a good look at my face
(Take a good look, baby)
Smile looks out of place
(It looks so out of place)
If you look closer it's easy to trace
The tracks of my tears

So take a good look at my face
You'll see this smile looks out of place
If you look closer it's easy to trace
The tracks of my tears

Oh, look at me, baby, I'm crying
Oh, my heart is slowing dying...

Boyz II Men

Boyz II Men is an R&B vocal quartet from Philadelphia who became the most successful pop group of the 1990s. They’re best known for their passionate ballads, including the number one hits “End of The Road,” “On Bended Knee,” and “I’ll Make Love To You.”

An early version of the group was founded by Nathan Morris in the mid 1980s while attending the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts, where he recruited students Wanya Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Michael McCary. Singer Marc Nelson was also an early member, but left the group before their big break.

The group—who took its name from New Edition’s song “Boys To Men”—was discovered in 1988 after auditioning for New Edition’s Michael Bivins backstage at a concert. Bivins signed the group to his management company and secured them a contract with Motown Records.
