[Verse 1]
I call her sugar pie
She’s a little diamond in the rough to me
How do I make her mine?
I’ve been looking for the right recipe
She’s heard a lot of things
Well, but nothing that she should ever take to heart
I give up everything just so she can know who I really want

[Pre-Chorus]
See this girl’s got a smile that just keeps brightening up the day
But this girl just thinks that every single guy’s the same

[Chorus]
She thinks I’m a ladies man, but I’m just a gentleman
‘Cause I couldn’t be the one to ever break her heart
I give her the best of me
Get rid of the rest of me
‘Cause I couldn’t be the one to ever break her heart
Oh, I’ll be the ladies man
Oh, I’ll be the ladies man
I’ll be the ladies man
I’ll be the ladies man

[Verse 2]
I just wanna take her out (Take her out)
Maybe buy her dinner at her favorite place
So she’ll know what I’m about
Wanna kiss the dimples right off her face

Hey, ‘cause this one’s got a hold of me
But I can’t help but let it be
Oh, why (Oh, why) Oh, why can’t she see
This girl got a smile that just keeps brightening up the day
This girl, she thinks that every single guy’s the same

[Chorus]
She thinks I’m a ladies man, but I’m just a gentleman
‘Cause I couldn’t be the one to ever break her heart
I’ll give her the best of me
Get rid of the rest of me
‘Cause I couldn’t be the one to ever break her heart
Oh, I’ll be the ladies man
Oh, I’ll be the ladies man
Oh, I’ll be the ladies man
Oh, I’ll be the ladies man

[Bridge]
See, I’d give anything just to steal one kiss
And I’d do anything just to be the one she’s with
‘Cause all I do is think of her
I just gotta have this girl
And I just can’t let her slip away

[Chorus]
She thinks I’m a ladies man, but I’m just a gentleman
And I couldn’t be the one to ever break her heart, oh
I give her the best of me
Get rid of the rest of me
‘Cause I couldn’t be the one to ever break her heart
Oh, I’ll be the ladies man
I’ll be the ladies man
I’ll be the ladies man
Oh, I’ll be the ladies man

Boyz II Men

Boyz II Men is an R&B vocal quartet from Philadelphia who became the most successful pop group of the 1990s. They’re best known for their passionate ballads, including the number one hits “End of The Road,” “On Bended Knee,” and “I’ll Make Love To You.”

An early version of the group was founded by Nathan Morris in the mid 1980s while attending the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts, where he recruited students Wanya Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Michael McCary. Singer Marc Nelson was also an early member, but left the group before their big break.

The group—who took its name from New Edition’s song “Boys To Men”—was discovered in 1988 after auditioning for New Edition’s Michael Bivins backstage at a concert. Bivins signed the group to his management company and secured them a contract with Motown Records.
