[Intro]
You know what it's like?
Come on, come on

[Verse 1]
Baby, tell me
Do I look like the kinda girl that you wanna take home?
Wanna make me your own?
Do you even know what I like?
Just what I'm living for, what I adore?

[Pre-Chorus]
Baby, take the time to realize
I'm not the kind to sacrifice the way I am
So, if you wanna be my man, baby

[Chorus]
Walk a mile in my shoes
Do me right, or I'm through
Can't you see that if you want to stay around
(I'm telling you), you've got to figure me out, boy?
Take your time, or you lose this is my game, my rules
And I can see, obviously, baby
You don't know what it’s like to be me

[Post-Chorus]
Do you know what it’s like?
Do you know what it’s like?

[Verse 2]
Don't you get it twisted, boy, I want you too
But you got my heart to win before I let you in
And this deceives you, baby
I'm not the average lady
I need someone to love

[Pre-Chorus]
Baby, take the time to realize
I'm not the kind to sacrifice the way I am
So, if you wanna be my man, baby

[Chorus]
Walk a mile in my shoes
Do me right, or I'm through
Can't you see that if you want to stay around
(I'm telling you), you've got to figure me out, boy?
Take your time, or you lose this is my game, my rules
And I can see, obviously, baby
You don't know what it’s like to be me

[Bridge]
Baby, get to know me
Then you can show me that you love for me is true
And I'll give you everything that a girl can give
Don't you want to be my man?

[Chorus]
Walk a mile in my shoes
Do me right, or I'm through
Can't you see that if you want to stay around
(I'm telling you), you've got to figure me out, boy?
Take your time, or you lose this is my game, my rules
And I can see, obviously, baby
You don't know what it’s like
Walk a mile in my shoes
Do me right, or I'm through
Can't you see that if you want to stay around
(I'm telling you), you've got to figure me out, boy?
Take your time, or you lose this is my game, my rules
And I can see, obviously, baby
You don't know what it’s like to be me

Britney Spears

Britney Jean Spears (born December 2, 1981) is an American singer and actress. Born in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana, she performed acting roles in stage productions and television shows as a child before signing with Jive Records in 1997.

Spears’s first and second studio albums, …Baby One More Time and Oops!… I Did It Again, became international successes, with the former becoming the best-selling album by a teenage solo artist. Title tracks “…Baby One More Time” and “Oops!… I Did It Again” broke international sales records, with the former reaching number one in every country it charted in. In 2001, Spears released her self-titled third studio album, Britney, and played the starring role in the film Crossroads (2002). She assumed creative control of her fourth studio album, In the Zone, which yielded the worldwide success of the single “Toxic.”

In 2007, Spears’s much-publicized personal issues sent her career into hiatus. Her fifth studio album, Blackout, was released later that year, and spawned hits such as “Gimme More” and “Piece of Me”.
