Ladies and Gentlemen
We interrupt our program of Dance Music to bring you a special bulletin
From the intercontinental radio news
Our very own Pop Princess, now Queen of Pop
Has a special announcement she would like to make...
You're on
I think I'm ready for my close up
Yeah

[Verse 1: Britney Spears]
You don't like me, I don't like you
It don't matter
Only difference, you still listen
I don't have to
In one ear and out the other
I don't need you
Your words don't stick
I ain't perfect, but you ain't either
If you're feeling froggy, leap
I ain't even losin' sleep
There's more to me than what you see
You wouldn't like me when I'm angry

[Pre-Chorus: Britney Spears]
Mr. Photographer
I think I'm ready for my close-up tonight
Make sure you catch me from my good side
(Pick one)
These other (ha!) just wanna be me
Is that money in your pocket
Or you happy to see me?

[Chorus: Britney Spears]
Kill the lights!
(Take 'em out, turn 'em off, break 'em down)
Kill the lights!
(Don't be scared, make a move, see me now?)
Kill the lights!
(I feel you, watching me, watching you)
Kill the lights!
(You can't handle the truth, what happened to him?)

[Post-Chorus: Britney Spears]
I kill
The lights (Pure)
The lights (Satis-)
The lights (-Faction)
I kill
The lights (Lights)
The lights (Camera)
The lights (Action)

[Verse 2: Britney Spears]
All the flashing, trying to cash-in
Hurts my eyes
All the poses, out of focus, I despise
Eff me over, your exposure, not the best
You want me bad
I want you out
Release this stress

[Pre-Chorus: Britney Spears]
Mr. Photographer
I think I'm ready for my close-up tonight
Make sure you catch me from my good side

They all wanna see, see, see what you're made of
What you're gonna do
Is life gonna get the best of you?

Britney Spears

Britney Jean Spears (born December 2, 1981) is an American singer and actress. Born in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana, she performed acting roles in stage productions and television shows as a child before signing with Jive Records in 1997.

Spears’s first and second studio albums, …Baby One More Time and Oops!… I Did It Again, became international successes, with the former becoming the best-selling album by a teenage solo artist. Title tracks “…Baby One More Time” and “Oops!… I Did It Again” broke international sales records, with the former reaching number one in every country it charted in. In 2001, Spears released her self-titled third studio album, Britney, and played the starring role in the film Crossroads (2002). She assumed creative control of her fourth studio album, In the Zone, which yielded the worldwide success of the single “Toxic.”

In 2007, Spears’s much-publicized personal issues sent her career into hiatus. Her fifth studio album, Blackout, was released later that year, and spawned hits such as “Gimme More” and “Piece of Me”.
