[Intro]
Oh-oh
Doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo

[Verse 1]
Iʼm sitting here alone again
Waiting for you to come see me now
As time passes by
With the blink of an eye
I know Iʼll get to see you somehow
You are sitting home another night
Waiting for someone to hold you tight
Time passes by
So quick indeed
And this time, youʼre slipping away from me
Itʼs been a long, cold, hard winter
It was a long, drawn-out spring
You took no wrong when you saw nothing in me
But our love was something nice to see

[Verse 2]
We were sitting alone on the beach
Letting all the sand between our feet
Why, as time passes by
Blink of an eye
Amazing how things ainʼt what they used to be
Ainʼt what they used to be
It was the shortest summer
The fall was so abrupt
Thought youʼd be happy with the way things were
But I guess it wasnʼt enough

[Verse 3]
I am outside sitting, writing this song
You could have guessed that all along
Time passed me by
So quick indeed
And youʼre the only thing that Iʼm missing
I wrote this song all last night
Tried to make the lyrics fit just right
But Iʼm still having trouble with this very last part
But I know itʼll come from my heart
But I know itʼll come from my heart

[Outro]
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo

Charlie Puth

Charlie Puth is an American singer-songwriter who started by making and covering songs on his YouTube channel. His big break came when he was featured on the Furious 7 song “See You Again,” which he had written for a friend who passed away in a similar accident. The song reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed there for twelve weeks, becoming the longest-running rap number one along with Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.” The song’s iconic music video was also the most viewed video on all of YouTube for a short amount of time when it passed PSY’s “Gangnam Style” in July 2017.

His first project, The Otto Tunes, was released in 2010, with the title being a play on his middle name, Otto, and autotune. His second release, Ego, was also self-produced and dropped in October 2013.

His major-label debut Nine Track Mind was released January 29, 2016, and lead single “Marvin Gaye” with Meghan Trainor topped the charts in the UK and reached the top twenty-five in the US, peaking at #21. His next single “One Call Away” fared even better, hitting #12 in the US and establishing Puth as a full-blown star as opposed to a two-hit wonder. A deluxe edition of the record was released in November 2016.
