[Verse 1]
Mistadobalina is a jackass, much like a donkey
And I'ma pin the tale on the funky
Has anybody seen Del's head swell?
'Cause I get paid well, kickin' much tail
Drink me a forty as I ride my rhinoceros
You don't like it? Well, you gots to kiss
Where the sun don't shine, something like my behind
I lose a fan but I'ma be fine
Dr. Feelgood, didn't think I still could
Make funk real good
Take it then I looped it
Make you say - Gloryhallastoopid
The Motor booty make you shake your rump
To the brand new D-Funk
Take a chunk 'cause I'm much like a hunk
To the dark-skinned girls with funk in they trunk
Coming from around the way
It's Del better known as Dr. Bombay
Peace

[Chorus: Del & Ice Cube sample]
Dr. Bombay
Dr. Bombay
Now, check this

[Verse 2]
Large as a black woman's gluteus maximus
And the question everybody's asking us
"Where'd you get that funk from?"
A brother named George and some 151
So Let's Take It To the Stage, you suckers
I jam, and Mistadobalina eats Smuckers
Back in the house with the crew Hieroglyphic
Now you know everything is terrific
Funk in the 1990's that's ironic
So grab you a sack of that chronic
Down with Da Lench Mob straight from the ghetto
But I'm under the sun in the meadow
Me and this Amazon sittin' on my lap
Butt so big that when she walk it clap
Doin' the hoochie coochie in the forest
Y'all know who I am, so hot damn, sing the chorus

[Chorus: Del & Ice Cube sample]
Dr. Bombay
Dr. Bombay
Now, peep it, it's like this
It's like this
I'm Mista Twist
You're gonna get dissed, haha

[Verse 3]
Watch your wife, 'cause if your spouse call
Del is gonna damn sure make a house call
You peeped out my drawers on your fence
I'm a dog, so you might see paw prints
What up, Doc? Wait, it ain't cool to jock
'Cause you're real far from a ballerina
So ooh ooh, Mistadobalina
Freeze, and get up off your knees
Everything that Dr. Bombay say
Is guaranteed to make your day
So oops upside your head
I like Club Med and hangin' out with the dreads
And girl if you ain't got a germ
I won't hesitate to pull out my Funky Worm
But if you ain't down with Delvon
Cancel your appointment and please get the hell on
'Cause I won't have fraudulent foes
Under my nose, if you won't eighty-six the clothes
Get out the way, so I can save the day
Why? 'Cause I'm Dr. Bombay

[Chorus: Del & Ice Cube sample]
Dr. Bombay
Bye, stop
Dr. Bombay
Dr. Bombay
Dr. Bombay

Del The Funky Homosapien

Del the Funky Homosapien (born Teren Delvon Jones in Oakland, California on August 12, 1972) is the founding member of the hip-hop collective Hieroglyphics. His debut album I Wish My Brother George Was Here was released in 1991 and featured production from himself as well as The Boogiemen and his cousin Ice Cube. The album featured Del’s most popular solo single “Mistadobalina” but Del wasn’t feeling the funk sampled sound used on his album that the West Coast would become known for in the following years. He began his sound shift with the Mistadobalina B-side “Burnt”, which was the first appearance of the Hiero crew on wax. His next album, 1993’s No Need For Alarm had a darker yet jazzy sound as the production was handled by Del and Hiero crew members Casual, A-Plus, Snupe, Jay Biz, and Domino as well as Stimulated Dummies.

Prior to the release of his third album Future Development, Del was dropped from Elektra Records and went on to release the album in 1997 on the Hieroglyphics Imperium label in cassette form. He also appeared on the Hiero group album 3rd Eye Vision in 1998 and dropped his fourth album Both Sides of the Brain on Hiero Imperium in 2000, which featured the popular single “If You Must.”

On October 17, 2000, Del released the Deltron 3030 collaborative project with Dan the Automator and Kid Koala, and he had two high-profile appearances in 2001 on the tracks “Rock the House” and “Clint Eastwood” with the Gorillaz. After making more appearances on Hiero group albums and other projects, Del released his album Eleventh Hour in 2008 through Definitive Jux and has released more albums independently through different sources such as Bandcamp and Soundcloud. After more than 25 years in the rap game, he continues to tour and perform with the Hiero crew.
