On a mission to try and win your love
As I follow and watch from behind
Since I met you, I've never left the case
Since I promised myself you'd be mine
You call me friend, I see you in
Your every changing mood as you bend my ear
About the girls inside your world
And how they offer love that will trap you
I'd like to kidnap you

Hot on the trail
Got my destination in sight
Hot on the trail
Not my imagination, it's right

On a mission, well, I oughta take you in
You know, stealing a heart is a crime
Undercover, that's always been my style
Cloak and dagger and bide my time
But now you're here, it's very clear
The time has come to throw all my props away
And let you know I love you so
And that we'll be together forever
You're mine to stay

Hot on the trail
Got my destination in sight
I'm after your love
Hot on the trail
Not my imagination, it's right
Ay, ay, ay, ay, I'm hot on the trail
Got my destination in sight
'Cause I'm after your love
Hot on the trail
Not my imagination, it's right

Sometimes we spies have to work in the dark, oh-whoa
But the light's shining through
And I'm taking the clues from my heart
Now love can start

Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, yeah

Well, I'm hot on the trail
Got my destination in sight
'Cause I'm after your love
Hot on the trail
Not my imagination, it's right
Ay, ay, ay, ay, I'm hot on the trail
Yes, I am, baby
Got my destination in sight
'Cause, ay, ay, ay, ay, ay, I'm
Hot on the trail
Not my imagination, it's right

(Hot on the trail)
I'm hot on the trail, baby boy, yeah
I'm after your love, I'm hot
(Hot on the trail)
Not my imagination, it's right
(Hot on the trail)
Hot on the trail
Said, I'm after your love
(Hot on the trail)
It's right...
