I was downhearted
Confused by too many lies
You were not like the others
That I soon realized
I was left walking around
In some kind of daze
But you opened your arms
And you loved all my hurt away

This is straight from the heart, baby
Right from the heart, darling
It's straight from the heart, baby
I'll always be around

Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh...
Yeah

I used to hear voices
Whispering in my head
They said don't you trust him
Don't give in, don't you be misled
No, no, no
I was hungry for love
But past failures made me afraid
Yet when I'm in your arms
Every fear somehow fades away

This is straight from the heart, baby
Right from the heart, darling
It's straight from the heart, baby
I'll always be around

Heartbreak taught me love can have two sides
Tears mixed with laughter is no surprise
And our hearts are intertwined
So I won't let go, I just can't let go

This is straight from the heart, baby
This is right there in the heart, darling
This is straight from the heart, baby
I'll always be around

This is straight from the heart, baby
(Right from the heart, darling)
You're everything I need
This is straight from the heart, baby
I'll never let you down

This is straight from the heart, darling
'Cause you mean the world to me
Yes, you do, baby boy, yeah
It's straight from the heart, baby
I'll always be around

Straight from the heart, baby
Right from the heart, darling, baby boy
This is straight from the heart, baby
I'll always be around...
