My mama told me
Girl, you'd better watch out
Satan's so tricky
You'd better look out
He don't take kindly to little girls from Sunday School
He's somewhere hoping, yeah
That you'll break the rules

Keep your eyes on Jesus
(Girl, you better watch out)
Straight ahead
Don't get caught up
In the things of the world
(Girl, you better watch out)
Don't you be misled

No, no, no, no, no

My mama told me
Girl, you keep a pure heart
Keep your mind stayed on God
'Cause Satan's so smart, yeah
He's somewhere waiting for you to stumble and to fall
But God will lift you up
Wherever you call

Just keep your eyes on Jesus
(Girl, you better watch out)
Straight ahead, yeah
Don't get caught up
In the things of the world
(Girl, you better watch out)
Don't you be misled

Just keep your eyes on Jesus
(Girl, you better watch out)
Straight ahead, yeah
Don't get caught up
In the things of the world
(Girl, you better watch out)
Don't you be misled

Just keep your eyes on Jesus
(Girl, you better watch out)
Straight ahead
Don't get caught up
In the things of the world
(Girl, you better watch out)
Don't you be misled

Straight ahead
Just keep your eyes on Jesus
He promises you'll see Him
Yeah, yeah
He'll never leave you alone
No, no, no, no, no
