You sat hurting, hurting inside
Didn't you know I'd chase the hurt away
You sat crying, crying inside
Didn't you know
I'd change the clouds from gray

And I want to say
Time heals every wound
Don't give up too soon
You got to keep trying, trying
Time heals every wound
Don't give up too soon
You got to keep trying

You sat doubling, doubling yourself
Didn't you know
You could believe in me
You sat hiding, hiding yourself
Didn't you know
That I would set you free just to be with me

Time heals every wound
Don't give up too soon
You got to keep trying, trying
Time heals every wound
Don't give up too soon
You got to keep trying
