Do you recall the sun of '79
I was young but I remember you fine
You were tall and handsome so sweet so divine
One day you'd be mine
Do you recall the sun of '79
You used to tease me saying in ten years time
I still loved you I was biding my time
One day you'd be mine

Now I've revealed my thoughts to you
What's your conclusion? Did you have a clue
Some say your feelings should be aired
Now with you mine have been shared

Do you recall the sun of '79
Playing silly games behind the washing line
We were scolded 10. 000. 000 times
Happiness then made us blind
The sun's behind the sea of '79
Will it rise again, maybe not in my time
I'll remember you as long as I'm alive
I'll see you again

Dumma dumma dum dum, dah dah dah dee
Yeah, yeah yeah
Dumma dumma dum dum dah dah dee dee
