[Verse 1]
I never walk about after dark
It's my point of view
’Cause someone could break your neck
Coming up behind you
Always coming and you'd never have a clue
I never looked behind all the time
I will wait forever
Always looking straight
Thinking counting all the hours you wait

[Chorus]
See you on a dark night
See you on a dark night
See you on a dark night
See you on a dark night

[Verse 2]
And no, I'm not a jerk
I would ask if you could help me out
It’s hard to understand
'Cause when you're runnin' by yourself
It's hard to find someone to hold your hand
I know it's good to be tough like me
But I would wait forever
I need someone else
To look into my eyes and tell me
"Girl, you know you've got to watch your health"

[Bridge]
To look into my eyes and tell me
La la la la la
To look into my eyes and tell me
La la la la la
La la la la la
La la la la la
La la la la la
La la la la la

[Chorus]
See you on a dark night
See you on a dark night
See you on a dark night
See you on a dark night
See you on a dark night
See you on a dark night
See you on a dark night
See you on a dark night
See you on a dark night

Dry Cleaning

Dry Cleaning is a 4-piece post-punk band from South London. Their first EP “Sweet Princess” was released in August 2019 from It’s OK records. Their second EP, “Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks” was released in October 2019. In March 2020 they signed their first major label contract with 4AD.

Dry Cleaning’s sound is perhaps most notable for the largely spoken-word vocals of frontwoman Florence Shaw, whose frequently hilarious lyrics (their debut EP begins, “during what was probably the longest two and a half months of my life, after a near death experience…the only thing that kept me going was Saw 2”) are often written in a cut-and-paste style (taken from both her own notes on life as well as found text), and then delivered completely deadpan in her solidly upper middle class Home Counties accent.
