[Intro]
(All the tuna fish are singing in a tuna afternoon)

[Verse 1]
You know you're not the only one
When they all come crashing down, midflight
You know you're not the only one
When they're so alone they find a back door out of life
You know you're not the only one

[Pre-Chorus]
We're all grieving
Lost and bleeding

[Chorus]
All our lives
We've been waiting
For someone to call our leader
All your lies
I'm not believing
Heaven shine a light down on me

[Verse 2]
So afraid to open your eyes, hypnotized
You know you're not the only one
Never understood this life
And you're right, I don't deserve
But you know I'm not the only one

[Pre-Chorus]
We're all grieving
Lost and bleeding

[Chorus]
All our lives
We've been waiting
For someone to call our leader
All your lies
I'm not believing
Heaven shine a light down on me

[Bridge]
Don't look down
Don't look into the eyes of the world beneath you
Don't look down, you'll fall down
You'll become their sacrifice
Right or wrong
Can't hold onto the fear that I'm lost without you
If I can't feel, I'm not mine
I'm not real

[Chorus]
All our lives
We've been waiting
For someone to call our leader
All your lies
I'm not believing
Heaven shine a light down on me

Evanescence

Evanescence is an American rock band founded in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1995 by singer/pianist Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody. Evanescence was originally promoted in Christian stores. Later, the band made it clear they did not want to be considered part of the Christian rock genre, like fellow Wind-up Records artists Creed. Some of their most popular hits “Bring Me to Life,” “My Immortal,” and “What You Want.”

In 2014, the band parted ways with their long-term record label Wind-Up and became independent artists. In late 2016, they released a Ultimate Collection box set featuring all their albums along with the 2000 demo album Origin and a B-sides compilation Lost Whispers.

In November 2017, they released their fourth album, Synthesis, featuring a reimagining of some of their past songs plus two new original songs with the spotlight on full orchestra and electronics.
