It's been a real long time since I've seen it
I'm sadly curious what's going down that way
Within my heart and soul, I'll always be there
But there's no way I can go back I just can't go

Mama yo no can't go, Mama no yo can't go no, no

Sometimes I can't believe how much you miss it
I'm trying to understand mama but I just don't know
What will you find back there, that you ain't got here
I won't go back I'll tell you now I just can't go

I can't go, I can't go
Mama yo no can't go
I can't go, I can't go
Mama yo no can't go

I'm into liberty, I 'm into freedom
And God I know someday they will overcome
Within my heart and soul, I;ll always be there
But there's no way I can go I just can't go

I can't go, I can't go
Mama yo no can't go
I can't go, I can't go
Mama yo no can't go

No matter what you do or what you say
I ain't going anyway no
I told you once I'll tell you twice again
Mama yo no just can't win, no, no

It's been a real long time since last I've seen it
I'm sadly curious what's going on down that way
Within my heart and soul, I'll always be there
But there's no way I can go back, I just can't go

I can't go, I can't go
Mama yo no can't go
I can't go, I can't go
Mama yo no can't go
