[Verse 1]
It's not as you're thinking or as you've imagined
To live in the shade of beliefs that we fashioned
To leave you in slavery and drain out your soul
But what can I do when there's so many liars
That crawl through your veins like millions of spiders
That seek out their victims and who is the wiser, watch out
Got ya

[Chorus]
Oh my god, I can't deny this
I've been tryin' just to kill and fight this
To bury it deeper where nobody can find it
Like nobody wanted to know

[Verse 2]
So give it away like they not gonna fuck you
How long can you bear him to come back and haunt you
To burn past your feelings and cause you to suffer
You're starting to bleed they don't give you up
Before it's too late what will you offer
In way of a healing, I'm so confused, abused, misused

[Chorus]
Oh my god, I can't deny this
I've been tryin' just to kill and fight this
To bury it deeper where nobody can find it
'Cause nobody wanted to know

[Refrain]
Ooh, if it opens your eyes
Well, his is better than a strong compromise
I was willing to be lost in the shuffle
If only you had let me know
Ooh, if it opens your eyes
Well, this is better than the last compromise
I was willing to be lost in the shadows
If only you had let me know

[Guitar Solo]

[Verse 3]
And they won't give in 'cause they know what they're after
A kick in the face like it's all that would matter
Oh

[Chorus]
Oh my god, I can't deny this
I've been tryin' just to murder and fight this
To bury it deeper where nobody can find it
'Cause nobody wanted to know

[Refrain]
Ooh, if it opens your eyes
Well, this is better than a good compromise
I was willing to be lost in the shuffle
If only you had let me know
Ooh, well it's on with the show
Like the tide down on the ocean
The waves already set in motion
The only one in the game who's lost is you

Guns N’ Roses

Guns N' Roses was the most dangerous band in the world in the late 80s and early 90s. Led by singer Axl Rose and stylish guitarist Slash, they mixed the passion of blues, the heaviness of rock, and the attitude of punk, bringing forth a breath of fresh air to a music scene dominated by cheesy hair metal bands.

Their debut album, Appetite for Destruction, is the best selling debut of all-time. They outsold a headlining Aerosmith on their first major tour, released two double albums (Use Your Illusion I & II) simultaneously, and soon would play to audiences in excesses of 20,000 people.

However, cracks started forming in the band, as classic era drummer Steven Adler was fired from the band before the “Use Your Illusion” releases and founding rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin left abruptly during the ensuing tour. They were replaced by Matt Sorum and Gilby Clarke, respectively, with keyboardist Dizzy Reed joining the band and expanding the group’s sound.
