Gotta lot, nerve-a
Gotta lot, doo doo doo
You've got, you've got it
Gotta lotta nerve-a
You, you, you've gotta lotta nerve-a

Oh, no, stop bitching indiscretion
You're such an A-1 lover
Since when are you perfection?
Never true blue to me
So why you getting nasty?
Well, it's lucky for you
That I'm gonna keep dancing
Oh, I know

Everyone you know is perfect, perfect
Everything you do is perfect, perfect
Everywhere you go is perfect, perfect
So on, so on

But you've gotta lotta nerve (gotta lotta)
When you talk about love
If you've gotta lotta nerve (perfect nerve-a)
We can talk about love
Oh, you've gotta lotta nerve (gotta lotta)
To be talking about love
Yeah, you gotta lotta nerve (perfect nerve-a)
'Til we talk about love

Oh yeah, yeah
Diddy doo wop (Diddy doo wop)
Yeah, yeah
You gotta lot

I said listen to you
Oh, your roots will be showing
Better watch what you say and do
Or da cool you'll be blowing
We're talking sixteen tons of nerve-a
We're talking sixteen tons of
We're talking sixteen tons of nerve-a
We're talking perfect nerve

Everyone you know is perfect, perfect
Everywhere you go is perfect, perfect
Everything you do is perfect, perfect
So on, so on

Yeah, you've gotta lotta nerve (gotta lotta)
When you talk about love
If you've gotta lotta nerve (perfect nerve-a)
We can talk about love
We can talk about love (talk about love)
To be talking about love (talk about love)
To be talking 'bout

Everyone you know is perfect, perfect
Everything you do is perfect, perfect
Everywhere you go is perfect, perfect
So on, so on

Everyone you know: perfect
Everything you do: perfect
Everywhere you go: perfect
So on and so on, so on

You've gotta lotta nerve (gotta lotta)
To be talking about love (talk about love)
Said you've gotta lotta nerve (perfect, perfect)
To be talking about love
You gotta perfect nerve-a (gotta lotta)
Said you gotta lotta nerve-a (talk about love)
Gotta perfect nerve-a (perfect, perfect)
Said you gotta lotta nerve

Said everything you do (gotta lotta)
Oh, everywhere you go (talk about love)
And everyone you know (perfect, perfect)
Everywhere you go

Yeah, you gotta lotta nerve (gotta lotta)
Said you've gotta lotta (talk about love)
Said you've gotta lotta nerve (perfect, perfect)
Said you've gotta lot, not
Said you gotta lot (gotta lotta)
You've got, you've, you've gotta (talk about love)

Hall & Oates

Hall & Oates released the first of their 18 albums in 1972 on Atlantic Records. They would go on to sell 13 million albums and 6 million singles primarily during the 70’s and 80’s when they recorded their most prolific and profound music. They blended rock, jazz, soul, and pop create a genre they titled rock and soul.

While their technical musicianship, innovative songwriting styles, and popular live performances were praised, they also had a fruitful partnership with their manager Tommy Mottola, who was helped Hall & Oates break into music videos before they were popular and made profitable financial deals by helping them get on the ground level of and corporate sponsorship of tours. Hall & Oates were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.
