"Wild at Heart" is a love song that is about staying true to oneself in a world that can be superficial. The song is centered around the idea of being "wild at heart" and how this quality can both attract and repel people. In the first verse, Del Rey talks about how seeing pictures of her lover on Sunset Boulevard drives her crazy, but smoking cigarettes helps her understand the smog. The pre-chorus speaks to how being with her lover has been a convoluted journey, but that it’s all been worth it in the end. Read more on Last.fm.

[Verse 1]
You could be my dirty secret (I could be yours)
We could only be a rumor (never be sure)
You could meet me in the backseat (late night)
A ticket up in first class (mile high)

[Pre-Chorus]
'Cause hey baby, baby you got me so, so good
Hey baby, baby, I got it so, so bad

[Chorus]
Think you're all about me, but I'm all about you
Turn the lights down, let me show you it's true
Get a little taste of what I'm into
Think you're all about me, but I'm all about you, you

[Verse 2]
I don't want to keep a secret (let the combo)
This is more than just a little thing (baby, fo' sho')
I can't wait until the next time (we meet)
Gotta kiss you in the daylight (out on the beach)

[Pre-Chorus]
'Cause hey baby, baby you got me so, so good
Hey baby, baby, I got it so, so bad

[Chorus]
Think you're all about me, but I'm all about you
Turn the lights down, let me show you it's true
Get a little taste of what I'm into
Think you're all about me, but I'm all about you, you

[Bridge]
Midnight eyes
Oh, you came as a surprise
You were right on time
Think you're all about me, but I'm all about you (hey, ooh)
Think you're all about me, but I'm all about you (hey, ooh)
Think you're all about me, but I'm all about you

[Chorus]
Think you're all about me, but I'm all about you
Turn the lights down, let me show you it's true
Get a little taste of what I'm into
Think you're all about me, but I'm all about you, you
