Songwriter: Ice Cube

[Intro/Hook: Ice Cube]
Everythang ain't black and white
Did you get your Race Card
Hell naw I didn't get my Race Card
Did you get your Race Card
Hell naw, I didn't get my Race Card
(everythang ain't black and white)
Did you get your Race Card
Homeboy when you get your Race Card
Did you get your Race Card
White boy, what is the Race Card

[Bridge: Ice Cube]
(I never leave home without)
Please don't believe the hype
Everythang in the world ain't black and white
Everybody ain't the stereotype
Just because I look wrong, I'mma 'bout to do right
(I never leave home without)
Please don't believe the hype
Everythang in the world ain't black and white
Everybody ain't the stereotype
Just because I look wrong, I'mma 'bout to do right

[Verse: Ice Cube]
Black as midnight, or bright as snow white
You better do me right or I'm a have to take flight
Put you on ice, blast on you twice
If you a Zebra better come out them stripes
Just cause I'm dressed like I'm straight outta jail
Make more money than them white boys at Yale
And got more cents than your fuckin' president
That College graduate, he can't pay his rent
But don't call me brother man
Unless your ass got my money in your other hand
Pull that black man shit, that white man shit
But, see your suit and tie, are still get your ass euthanized
Cause I never my Race Card in the mail
Is that the reason why my life still hard as hell
I been to jail, just like Martha Stewart
And we both told the judge that we didn't do it

[Hook: Ice Cube]
Did you get your Race Card
Hell naw, I didn't get my Race Card
Did you get your Race Card
Everybody, show me your Race Card
(every thang ain't black and white)
Did you get your Race Card
Yo, what the hell was the Race Card
Did you get your Race Card
Could any body tell me what is the Race Card?

[Bridge: Ice Cube]
(every thang ain't black and white)
Please don't believe the hype
Everythang in the world ain't black and white
Everybody ain't the stereotype
Just because I look wrong, I'mma 'bout to do right
(every thang ain't black and white)
Please don't believe the hype
Everythang in the world ain't black and white
Everybody ain't the stereotype
Just because I look wrong, I'mma 'bout to do right

[Ice Cube]
Did you get your Race Card
Did you get your Race Card
Did you get your Race Card
Did you get your Race Card

[Bridge: Ice Cube]
Please don't believe the hype
Everythang in the world ain't black and white
Everybody ain't the stereotype
Just because I look wrong, I'mma 'bout to do right
Please don't believe the hype
Everythang in the world ain't black and white
Everybody ain't the stereotype
Just because I look wrong, I'mma 'bout to do right

[Outro: Ice Cube]
Did you get your Race Card

Ice Cube

Straight outta South Central Los Angeles, Ice Cube became one of the most respected rappers in hip-hop, helping to usher in the era of gangsta rap with N.W.A and as a solo artist. He has gone on to become a mogul in Hollywood but still remains true to the game that brought him his success.

Born O'Shea Jackson on June 15, 1969, Ice Cube got his name from his older brother, who threatened to put him in a freezer and pull him out when he was an ice cube. He began rapping in high school and started his rap career as a member of Stereo Crew, which released the single “She’s a Skag” through Epic Records in 1986, and C.I.A. with the 1987 track “My Posse.” Both groups featured producer Sir Jinx, the cousin of DJ/producer Dr. Dre.

Ice Cube’s big break came when he wrote the song “Boyz n the Hood” for Eazy-E, which led to the formation of N.W.A. as a group. After the release of the 1987 compilation N.W.A. and the Posse, the group released their classic debut Straight Outta Compton in 1988. A financial dispute caused Cube to leave the group in 1989 and start his successful solo career, starting with his 1990 platinum debut Amerikkka’s Most Wanted.
